55Nice, pretty and cleanly.
55This space was great for my dog Coco, we are local so will definitely return. It was fairly quiet and plenty of shade, very secure fencing, and seating options for people.
55Great spot :)
55Great location for my two medium dogs to frolic around. The grassy area was great and they enjoyed sniffing around the yard. We didn’t see anyone during our time slot and it was quiet and peaceful. The sniff spot had bags and a water bowl available for usage. The dogs were happy skipping around the yard.

You'll have the yard to yourself while here! My pup will be inside. She is not a barker and your dog likely won't know she's there. There are other dogs who live in the neighborhood, but all of the yards immediately adjacent to ours are dog-free.

Description

We have a beautiful fully fenced yard in the heart of West Oakland. The yard is predominantly grass, with garden boxes, and three threes. There is also a large concrete section -- perfect for running your pup's nails down a little 😄 Feel free to use the sprinkler hose for water play, and eat anything in the garden that is ripe!

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

We live and garden here, so you may see our wheelbarrow and shovels under the deck during the warm months. We obsessively remove foxtails from the lawn. They do come back from time to time. We would appreciate your help in letting us know if you notice any coming up! We have a pup of our own so our goal is a 100% foxtail free yard.

Private 2 Acre Forest Swimming Hole In Rural Woodside (Update: 7 stairs added)

This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around if you see a waterfall downstream or a house in the distance. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!
