***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter. Great place for nervous dogs because our neighbors do not have pets. Plenty of birds and squirrels. Several sitting areas. Under the porch you have protection from the rain. We have also just added a cloth greenhouse that you can use to stay dry and a bit warmer. There is so many spots of shade from the many trees. A little spot of heaven in a beautiful city.

The ambient sounds and sights are good socialization and distraction training tools - traffic, delivery trucks, people coming and going from neighbouring houses and the laneway. The space's photos are updated with the seasons, so you know what to expect. The stairs to upper levels are blocked off for safety. In the summer, a kiddie pool is filled with fresh water daily. Toys and training equipment will be added in the future.
