55My dog had an absolute blast here, running, climbing, and sniffing. Beautiful property and a wonderful host.
55It was amazing to be able to have a safe place to take my dogs off leash. I have to admit this was my first time using sniff spot but it most certainly won't be my last. This location was perfect and our host Melissa is the absolute best! My dogs had a great time running around the fully fenced 2 acres! I booked 2 hours but they were exhausted after just 1! The host supplied toys, and water. The yard was clean and had great nature like setting. My one dog didn't know what to make of the 15 foot giraffe named Jerry so he would occasionally growl as he walked past it, it was very comical. I enjoyed seeing my babies run off leash carefree and safe from any other animals or dogs. Thank you so much Melissa! We'll be back!
55Our pups had an amazing time! Coco Chanel’s first sniffspot ever and she had a blast. Fencing is secure, the place is beautiful and peaceful. Melinda is so kind, brought us cold water and even gifted Coco a toy she is obsessed with. Two happy and worn out pups. 🐶 🐶 Can’t wait to visit again!
55So peaceful and shady in the heat of the summer!
55Great spot and great host! Super friendly and my dog loves her!
55Great sniffspot! My 2 dogs loved roaming the secured area & enjoyed meeting the very friendly host! We will definitely be back!
55This place was great and the host was amazing! One of my idiot dogs ripped his ear and she was amazing about it and even brought out first aid stuff 10/10
55A very enjoyable time for the dogs. Melinda, the hostess, is so welcoming.
55So quiet & peaceful.
55My boys had a great time playing ball and running around this property. Melinda was a wonderful host, even meeting me as I pulled up and helping with my rambunctious golden boys to get them to the fenced acreage. Jerry the Giraffe is a very neat sculpture and really combines with all the over hanging, mossed trees to create an almost jungle like feel 😁 It even started raining and though I did get a bit wet we were able to still walk around through the trees avoiding the worst of it. Only problem for me is its a bit farther than I typically go but will def bring the boys back occasionally just to say hey to Melinda and Jerry of course!

North Star Ranch Private Dog Park In Archer

Hello, We would like to welcome our dog friends to our private fully fenced wooded dog park we named The North Star Ranch. The North Star is positioned right over our entrance, and you might see it if you stay at the ranch late. Our ranch currently has no land improvements, which means that you’ll have to bring your own water, snacks, poo bags, and flashlights if you book early or late in the day. Also we have no trash collection, so please take your waste home with you. This is what we do as well. Consider a visit to our ranch a visit to nature that has been fenced in for your dogs’ convenience. And as in all Florida woods, there are some safety concerns you need to be aware of before your reservation. There are more or less visible stumps and vines all over the ranch. There are also some prickly cacti, buckthorn bushes and brambles. Tree logs and trunks have been arranged in some areas as edging for trails. The ranch is a work in progress and we are very slowly cutting prickly plants back to where they aren’t in dogs’ faces, but it’s taking us a while. So be prepared for an encounter with (hopefully gentle) Florida wilderness. Long pants and closed toed shoes are very much recommended. We also suggest tick spray if you’re worried about them. We find that in winter time they are rare. Mosquito cream is available during summer months at the gate. We recommend you use it. There is a 20 liter canister of water for dogs available at the picnic table along with a black rubber bowl. There is a back gate at the ranch and we don’t suggest venturing out of, as the back of the property is NOT fenced, and trails are unkempt. Please stay in the fenced-in area only for your safety! We hope you and your dog enjoys lots of sniffing while you’re either strolling along or sitting down in one of our picnic areas. There is some agility equipment available at your discretion. Please use it wisely and look out for your pet’s safety first. Wilderness warning! ⚠️ Snakes have been spotted at the ranch several times. Our dogs run through the ranch daily, so wildlife is used to human and canine presence. This was their home before we enclosed it, so we respect their presence and move around them if we spot them. To this date we haven’t had any negative experience with the wildlife, and we surely want to see you stay safe as well. Keep your eyes open if you veer off the main paths, and have some treats in your pocket to help call your dog back to you in case of a snake sighting. The sightings definitely drop off in the colder months. We hope you enjoy our ranch as much us we do! Our dogs absolutely love it and we lovingly nicknamed this place our “sanity ranch”. Enjoy!
