Our field is fully fenced with 6' chain link fence, including a double gate to ensure that no dog can ever escape. Water is available for the dogs, and seating is available under our beautiful trees in the shade for you. As the fall starts to get colder and winter is upon us, we do plan to stay open for the winter. We plan to snowblow parts of the field so that there is a path when the snow gets super deep, and we’ll try to keep the area directly beside the barn clear for you. This is our plan… we’ll see how it works out in reality. :) If you have snowshoes, it may be a good idea to bring them some days depending on how much snowfall we’ll get. There is a bench around the tree on the far hill for you to sit on if you like. There are very few distractions here so it is a great space for play and/or training. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Hard packed snow and mild weather can create icy sections on the property, we put down sand and pet safe ice melt on the trails to help. Feel free to contact us for trail conditions before booking. I had so much fun here today with my German Shepard! She is reactive to other dogs so I struggle to find places to get her enough exercise without running into other dogs. Especially in the winter. A long portion of the pathway was nicely cleared for us to run down and chase sticks and the frisbee! The property was very pretty and easy to get to. And the host was very very sweet and communicative. I will definitely come back here with my dog! The perfect place to get some off leash exercise :-)

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
