55I was a tiny bit confused with the directions to the spot, but I think that was on me and not the host! (The street sign was on one side of the street, but the home was on the other...)
Once there, we had a blast. The area was fully fenced in, allowing my pups to run and explore safely. There were a couple areas where some pups might be able to scoot under the fencing, but it was not an issue for us.
The space was neat and clean and BIG. I cannot recommend it enough!Jessica L.

55My fur babies had an amazing time... They explored almost every inch of the ranch in 92-degrees temperature (wish the weather was better). One of my dogs is a rescue from an Amish puppy mill and is in desperate need of socialization. He barely wants to go out on most days, etc. The minute he entered ZPR, he was running everywhere and sniffing everything. I can see his personality coming out in the short time we were there. The property is beautiful. We will def be back. Dawn M.

55This place was great! Lots of contiguous space, and the fencing was consistent. Our 30 lb golden doodle got to zoom at full speed for quite a while and he left very tired, which is always the goal. Something that might be good to know is that the picnic table is just outside the enclosure, not inside, so if you're planning to eat a picnic meal, you'll need to leave your dog in the enclosure and eat separately. It wasn't a big deal for us, he was busy sniffing and we could see him the whole time, but it's just slightly different from what we were expecting. Regardless, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back! (maybe next time with a picnic blanket!)Meagan B.

55Our dogs loved this large open space. Access instructions were clear, and we appreciated the water, hand sanitizer, and paper towels that were left out on the table Danielle B.

55This place is now my pup’s favorite. I said let’s go to zen paw ranch and he ran to the door, sat like a gentleman until i put his harness on. His grin was ear to ear.Eric B.

55It’s the first time my dogs have run free off-leash in a very long time and I may have enjoyed that even more than they did. Perfect location and great communication from the host. If you have dogs prone to rolling in things, they may find a few goodies left from wildlife, so be prepared for bath-time after. But worth it!Jennifer E.

I wasn’t real sure where to park by the instructions, but it was fine. Amy W.

55The backyard had plenty of space to run around! The fence was completely secure and the height made the yard private from all neighbors. There was some dead space under the deck that my pup explored, but everything was dog friendly and a person could also walk under to supervise if desired. My only recommendation is to be sure you bring bug spray based on the weather - we went on a hot summer evening and didn't bring any (our mistake!) and suffered a handful of bites.Leah H.

FAQ about our Owings Mills dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Owings Mills area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 311 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 51 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
