Welcome to our property! We have a doggies dream land. One acre fenced in, with a big front porch to lounge and views abound! Have us play with your fur babies or Relax on the porch while you play fetch with your fur baby... or just relax as your babies get their zoomies out of their system, not worrying about them at all as the entire property is fenced and gated! Horse views, cattle, birds and all the other wildlife are abound out here! Bring lunch, drinks, toys, make it a great morning, afternoon, or evening! I am a professional boarder full time. We always have babies around palying! You can leave them in my care of come stay and play. Come enjoy the country just 5 minutes to town, the turnpike or I95!

Our 5 acre spot is the perfect location to exercise your big boys and girls! With ample room to fetch and run, your doggos will LOVE our spot! Our property does have a pond. Feel free to let your dogs play, but remember, it’s Florida and there is ALWAYS a risk with wildlife in open country (eg. Snakes, bobcats, hawks, turtles.) 3 sides of the property are fenced (back side electric), and our neighbors do have dogs. Don't forget to bring water for yourself as there is no shade, YET! 🚨🚨 We are brokenhearted to announce that we are closing Canter Woods Farm SniffSpot, effective October 31, 2024. We have absolutely LOVED having dogs come here for enrichment and adventure since we opened mid-2021, and we are so grateful to all of you for putting your trust in us. Unfortunately we have had a couple of safety incidents—including a career-ending attack on one of our prized jumper horses—that have made it clear we can’t continue having dogs come here. We know you’re unhappy about this and so are we. It is not a step we take lightly—we had planned to welcome dogs here indefinitely. We are blessed with 19 gorgeous acres of ♿️ HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE pasture, ancient live oak hammocks, and trails surrounding 3 ponds and a creek leading to a cypress swamp. It’s Old Florida at its very BEST. Canter Woods is on the corner of two dead-end dirt roads with barely any traffic. We are now FULLY FENCED so your dog can safely work out every ounce of excess energy! Seating and picnic tables are provided throughout the property, and there is plenty of natural shade. We have a private road that runs all around the inside of the fence, so if your dog likes to run alongside you while you pedal, go ahead and bring your bicycle! The road/trail is almost completely shaded, so even on the hottest of days, it’s quite pleasant. One of our trails, which fully accommodates any vehicle, leads directly to our main seating area adjacent to not one but two ponds. Guests who use a wheelchair, crutches, or a walker can make it from their vehicle to a sturdy chair or lounger in just 6-8 feet ♿️ If you would like access to this parking spot, simply arrange with us. Our shallow swimming ponds are fed nonstop by a deep artesian well. We also have plenty of wildlife—depending on how rambunctious your dog might be, you may see otters, soft shelled turtles, tortoises, wood ducks, raccoons, armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels. We also have a plentiful supply of water birds—herons, egrets, and more. We are a Certified Wildlife Habitat™️! 🍃🌱🌿🪵🐇 We have horses on the premises in paddocks, and they’re tolerant of dogs and their mischief and love ♥️ our SniffSpot dog guests. Hopefully your dog is tolerant of these large mysterious creatures and doesn’t harass them! If you think your dog might be aggressive with the horses and get over or under their sturdy 4-foot paddock fence, please use a leash when in proximity of the barn and paddock! Do note that our horses are ridden and worked often, so there’s always the possibility that you will encounter “evidence” of a horse having passed there before you 😉 As we say around here, that’s farm life for ya! If that kind of thing bothers you, this probably isn’t the right spot for you. We are not manicured lawn—we are a farm and woods and a certified wildlife habitat. Note that we do have some predator animals such as hawks, owls, and the occasional bobcat, so this area is best suited for dogs over about 15 pounds. We keep our 4-lb chihuahua mostly inside, since we moved here. Parking is near the main entrance gate, close to the barn, and you are invited to start off your visit on the trails, following Bambi’s Run at the main entrance. Poop bags, maps, and a trash can are located on a pine tree at the parking area and near the horse paddock. ✨ PLEASE NOTE: We are specifically requesting that you do NOT come to our farm to “check us out” WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. Please respect that Canter Woods is also our home, and we are closed to anyone who doesn’t have an appointment. For our security and the safety of our guests and their dogs, we have surveillance cameras in use at all our entrances. MEMBERS-ONLY HOURS: We reserve before-work 7:30-10:30 am, Saturday mornings until noon, and all day on Sundays for dog lovers who have chosen to be members. Members also get a lower rate that’s never subject to a price increase + free use of our wash rack and dog shampoo! (a big bonus for the big dogs in our lives!) Large open cleared backyard field. In the very back not much shade, but here are 2 very large trees closer to the back of the house that you pass on the way to the open field. Please only stay within the boundery of my yard despite no fence with my neighbors yard either. Which is to the left of the power pole. Please & thank u!

The grass is long in the pictures, however that isn't the norm. It gets mowed monthly but the summer months it does grow quickly. Dog digging isn't an issue. Will be setting up a plastic table and chairs on the patio along with a water bowl for dogs, plastic bags for poop (garbage can is between front and back yard) , and hand sanitizer. Water spicket located in the front of the house for refilling water bowl.

Let your dog(s) play and enjoy some freedom in our beautiful back yard. There is a shade canopy where you can get out of the sun while your dog plays. There is also a picnic table for seating and a hose spigot for water for your furry friends. And we have 3 grills that are available for use (for an extra fee. See Extras).

As a dog trainer I always encourage my clients to socialize their dogs away from dog parks, in dog parks people get distracted with other people and they, sometimes, don't pay attention to their dogs, on top on that, dog parks don't get the attention and care that they need, and end up being a perfect place to pick up a desease or allergy. This is why I LOVE being able to provide a safe space for you to have fun with your four legged baby, where they can play safely and you can relax knowing they are not gonna get in any trouble.

Pigs, chickens and dogs oh my!!! Come let your dog play on the farm that's fully fenced in with a ton of room to run around and have fun. Farm animals will be in their pens upon arrival and you're more then welcome to go say hi. Water is available and a hose on both sides of the house in case you need to rinse them off after their fun filled day. I do dog grooming and can offer pet sitting if you're visiting the area or going on vacation for an upcharge. The price depends on breed and services.
