55Perfect place to run in the rain! Tree coverage and the wood chips smell amazing. Also there is wheatgrass by the water bowl 🥰
55Fully fenced yard with bark chips and lots of fun stuff to sniff! No dogs seen/heard, but my dog was definitely hyper focused on the entryway as this spot does dog boarding/pet sitting. Host had water bowl hose ready/accessible and very fast at replying to questions!
55Wonderful place and great helping/kind host
55This was a fantastic sniffspot, we will certainly be back.
55Secure yard, lots of stuff to sniff! The bark chip yard makes clean up easy.
55The babies had so much fun sniffing around all over this adorable yard. They were so distracted by all the things to see & explore that they were barely interested in chasing balls! But they wore themselves out regardless & it was a gorgeous day to do it. I loved that the house is easily recognizable & the access door can’t be missed. The yard is totally safe & secure, and the wood chips keep mud & dust & dirt down - much appreciated!! Great spot, we’ll definitely be back.
55This was a nice, safe yard for the dogs to play in and sniff around and explore. 😃 It is fully fenced- a tall wood fence with no gaps underneath and a secure locking gate. There were some Chuck-it balls and frisbees to play with, fresh water in a bowl set out before we arrived, and a place to sit and set my purse and jacket down on a table under a canopy - which was handy, too. 😃
55Thank you
55Our first time using SniffSpot! Beth was a responsive and clear host, and the space was clean, quiet, and very secure with reinforced fencing. I really appreciated the wood chips in the yard that kept the mud low and provided excellent traction.
55Great spot to sniff and play and run!

3 separate fields- field 1: closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills. Field 2: the best field! It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. Field 3: through the first two fields, is our lowest field, a property long and flat, the borders our neighbor’s property. While fenced, the entire property is not entirely marked, using photos on this app for boundaries. Coyotes do roam this lower field on a morning and evening basis weekly, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. While it is fenced, you may spend a long time tying to retrieve your pup otherwise! This field is a split property (2 parcels), and the other owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos). I will grab some better signs asap, as I am new to this app! Late evenings please watch out for coyotes in this field with smaller dogs. It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, uneven grass. I strongly recommend against use during foggy periods for safety of your pets.

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Our natural setting has different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), areas great for running, a forested area with several nature trails for a hiking adventure where your dog(s) can run, explore, run & feel free, a large tree’d area that your pups can run under, and a healthy little creek that your pups can wade in, cool off, and drink from. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s). There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s an area where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and less blackberry bushes. We provide a rain/sun shelter with foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, cornhole, 2 lounge chairs, 4 folding chairs. a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *Seasonal Attention-We have baby bunnies on our property. They usually hide really well, but if your pup finds a baby or a nest, please redirect your pup to try to avoid the bunnies from getting hurt. The blackberries are ripe and yummy right now! Feel free to pick some while you’re here! Thank you!
