Rent safe and private dog hiking trails hosted by locals in Rathdrum, Idaho

Really great spot! Super nice and accommodating and signage was helpful around the property :) definitely prepare to step in a wet stream or two.

This is such a beautiful spot, with some great trails and a lovely meadow to play ball in. The host has set up a covered area near the meadow with chairs and a table--very thoughtful! We were only at the spot for 30 minutes; I'd recommend at least an hour at this spot. We were there on a Saturday and did hear gunshots for much of the time we were there, but I've been to this spot with a friend a couple of times before (on Fridays), and it was perfectly tranquil.

Awesome spot-loved exploring the trails off leash without worrying about encountering other people/dogs. Well worth the drive- I will be a repeat customer.

A very magical location! My number one piece of advice is anything less than 2 hours is not enough time to enjoy this magnificent place. We will be booking 3-4 hours next time and bringing lunch and coffee with us to stay a while. The Sniffspot parking area and trail was well marked. The trail is clean, well maintained, and wasn't muddy when we went. I wore rubber boots anyways tobe prepared. There is a small peaceful pond with great reflections. I only noticed one pile of dog poop by the pond that wasn't cleaned up by a previous Sniffer, which really isn't that bad. Poop happens. Along the trail, you can locate Sniffspot signs where the host provides information and direction. The host clearly marked the edge of the property and anywhere beyond that is public land and so you should leash your dog and the host warns that anywhere beyond that boundary you may see humans or dogs. The trail has many different offshoots and areas that are more rugged to explore. Human tree lovers will enjoy the follage and magnificent nursing trees. It was truly serene and secluded. I could have camped there! In my opinion the bugs weren't very bad when I went. The host provides bug spray at checkpoints along the trail. We hopped over a small creek on a small stable bridge to enter the next area. After a short walk along the forest trail you come to an opening with rolling grassy hills (mowed), cedar trees, and a well protected horse pasture. My pup was interested in the horse, but moved off fine. He thinks they are giant puppies. At the clearing there is a canopy shelter, chairs, firepit, and convenience supplies. I would advise to set a timer and head back towards the car 15-20 minutes before your time is up if you have a dog like mine who likes to smell everything. On the way back home we stopped at SnoTown coffee for the best coffee I've ever had. We will be returning here and telling our dog friends about this place and increasing our visit time to a minimum of 3 hours in the future.

The dogs had a great time running through the woods and playing in the pond. Plenty of space to wear them out!

Wonderful spot! The trails were secluded and tree-filled and surprisingly not too wet. Club Zoomies had a nice covered seating area with lots of balls. Easy to navigate to and helpful signs.

We loved it! Our dog had a blast and it was so comforting knowing we had the trails to ourself. We will for sure be back.

Beautiful spot! The owners clearly put a lot of effort into making this a special destination. My girl was happy to crunch through leaves on the pretty trails without fear of running into another dog to stress her out. We’ll be back! p.s. Thank you to the sniffspotter who recommended swinging by SnoTown coffee nearby. Delicious and they had treats and kind words for my pooch too.

This place is amazing with trails and clear signage. A joy to walk around and let our dog explore, he even got to see horses in the “club zoomies”

This place is so incredible! I may have some property envy. Lol. My Great Pyrenees, husky and I arrived a little late, but I was fine with even 30 minutes. Luckily for us we were able to book an extra hour. My Pyrenees had the best day of his life! We cannot wait to go back several times until we have our own piece of property like this. I'm telling every dog owner I know about this place....too good not to share😊

Had a great time with the dogs. Will be back. Will be sure to spend at least two hours next time. The dogs had a blast!

We had so much fun here! The trail was a great way to get some energy out of our pup and was very easy to navigate.

Wonderful Sniffspot with great extras like towels. We enjoyed walking the trails and easily spent an hour exploring. Our pup had so much fun!

The trail from the parking area to club zoomies is one of the better maintained trails I’ve been to at a sniffspot. It was very wide and they even laid down gravel in muddy areas! My dogs loved playing in the pond, sand area and parkour wall.

What a magical spot! 💫 Such great signage and communication from the hosts, who, have thought of everything! Whimsical signs, cute seasonal decor….I was just as happy there as the dogs were!

What a great backyard!. Le love the trails and all the signs, easy to follow. My dog had a blast and now he is taking a long nap.

This is hands down the best Sniffspot I've ever visited! The trails through the woods are secluded and beautiful, a perfect little getaway for me and my reactive pup. Tim and Brenda were quick to answer my questions. They've really thought of everything and have created such a lovely space. We'll definitely be back!

Great trail with lots to explore. We felt safe and there was plenty of clear signage which I appreciate. Loved the Halloween decor!

Clearly marked parking area with signs guiding you to the trails and helpful signs all along the way. I almost got turned around in the trails. The pond is near the entrance if you're worried about your dog jumping on the water you'll be clear once you go up the trail. The walk in is at a slight elevation and a bit muddy but not too bad I'd recommend boots though as the weather gets worse. My dogs have pretty good recall and I felt comfortable letting them run off leash but if your dog is the type to just run I wouldn't let them off leash as they're are several areas they could take off into the dnr land. I appreciated the covered area with chairs and table to take a break from the rain for a few. Overall a fun spot abd lots of room for dogs to run

Another amazing time at Black Pond Farm! Me Me had so much fun playing obstacle course with her cart! Trident had a blast running through the ferns and chasing his ball all over Club Zoomies ❤️🐾🐶. Thank you for another amazing time!
