We don't use lawn chemicals during the summer, so your pup is always safe to roll in the clover or nibble on grass. Plenty of street parking (please do not park in the driveway) and a private entrance along the north side of the property. Please make sure gate is securely closed before leaving. Resident dog may bark from indoors at you but will be out of direct sight. Fill any holes you pup digs and return toy to bin. Also, in the winter months, please be aware that their is no lighting in the field. Come enjoy our expansive 1 acre fenced-in backyard. The area is on the edge of a rural setting. Pat yourself on the back for finding such a large, private place for your dog(s) to run his/her little heart out. (If you’re interested, pet photography is available for an additional fee.) Enjoy expanses of wide open area as hayfields surround our property. There are many areas for the humans to sit and watch their dog(s) run around and have fun. There is a picnic table, benches, tables/chairs, and gliders. We have a fenced in garden area within the backyard. The garden is surrounded by rose bushes. In the middle is a courtyard with glider benches around a propane fire pit, a table/chairs, with a tiered water fountain in the middle. (Dogs not allowed within the garden area.) Enjoy the many types of birds that fly overhead on their way to Peltier Lake. There are also Sandhill cranes that show up periodically, as well as turkeys & geese. Have fun watching our critters whose pens are just on the outside of our backyard. We have horses, a miniature horse, a miniature donkey, alpacas, goats, sheep, ducks, and chickens (Petting zoo available for an extra fee. Dogs are not allowed in with the animals.) Relax near the "dog" pool while your dog explores the yard for new interesting smells. Mostly open yard with a woodsy pollinator area in back. My yard is fully fenced in, flat and pretty open. There is a patio with a small table and some chairs, and a variety of plants. There are rose bushes in the garden bed next to the garage so it's best to keep your pup out of that area but they can sniff and play as much as they want! I have a wide variety of dog safe flowers and plants for them to explore. On the patio there is a storage box with a bowl, dog bags, toys, dog-safe bubbles and a fun sprinkler attachment specifically for pups! Nestled in heart of Central Park and just a moments’ walk to the Nature Preserve is Meg’s Pooch Playground. A fully enclosed yard with a four-foot fence is separated from a much larger yard that is also fully accessible. Explode the small trails through the trees that surround the property or take a load off in the fenced in yard and let your pup run freely. Some of the provided amenities include fresh water, poop scoops as well as bags, a sealed trash receptacle with removal services (host cleanup offered for additional fee), a commercial propane heater to stay toasty while you toss the ball for Fido, and other canine playmates if desired! I host dogs on Rover and also have two dachshunds who love making friends. They can either join your pup for playtime or remain indoors, whichever makes you and your dog more comfortable. There is also a fire pit available for guest use. Most other accommodations can be made available upon request:)
