55For the Heros sniffspot is a dream spot! The property is in a slightly secluded area with exceptional privacy through the use of fencing and very healthy looking arborvitae trees. The space and pool are immaculate! For your convenience they provide a poop scoop and water for the dogs to drink. Although we did not use the pool this time (we plan to go back to use it) it is set up with easy access through the use of ramps going in and out of the pool. The agility equipment is sturdy and there are several pieces to use. If YOU just want to hang out and let your dog explore they do have picnic tables and benches. I have a reactive dog and this is the perfect space for us. There is a little bit of a slope that you will walk down to get into the area. There are wide and deep stairs to use; however, my senior guy found it easier to use the grass. My senior guy did not care for the gravel on his paws. This is a new issue for him and certainly no reflection on the area. I plan to visit again with my younger GSD. It's a beautiful space and I'm grateful that the owners are open to sharing it.
55The place is amazing! Definitely a hidden gem and will be using again. Completely enclosed, clean, spacious, safe, and fun. Told everyone I knew about it.
55This is our all time favorite Sniffspot. It’s pristine, it’s secure, it’s private, but mostly it’s so much fun for all my dogs. Truly a gem of a place . The host has thought of everything and has always been amazingly accommodating.
55Dogs took their time exploring the fenced in area, a lot of new smells is always good, Charlie just wanted to sniff and Sammy had fun exploring some of the obstacles.
55Very clean and open. The pool is beyond amazing- clean, no bleach smell, temperature is just right. My girl has no problem with gravel so she had fun, but do keep it into consideration when booking. There is constant barking, but we can’t see the dog, and I was able to take advantage of that and do some focus training.
55Incredible space! My dog had an amazing time and so did I.
55Excellent spot. Clean and well kept. My girls were princesses and didn’t love the gravel feeling (they preferred the cement around the pool) but plenty of other spots to explore. Not 100% mini dog friendly- our 7lb chi mix could fit through a few spots at and near the gates and the agility equipment was (understandably) built for larger dogs. Overall will visit again on a better weather day!
55As great as ever! Well maintained, easy to access, safe for my dog!
55We had a blast with all three dogs! We loved the agility course and the pool was extremely clean and nice 👍 and the owner was very accommodating and if we had any questions he answered them 😍Very nice and clean , it was very fun time we’ll be back soon 🤩
55One of our favorite spots!

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… it sure is fun to watch them go!! Zoom-Zoom. (Important information on pricing and opening the gate are at close of this section. Pull your vehicle right up to the main gate.) The areas along the edges of the yard are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central area of the yard has a slight hill and is mostly open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! The pool💦 is open and the water is Devine for pups and humans alike. We allow two humans per dog to assist any dogs that may need “assistance.” We have a bunch of life vests available, but can’t guarantee that we have one that will fit your dog(s). Many dogs will find great pleasure in retrieving their ball or simply going for laps in the pool. Sammy is a nutcase for his tennis balls. David stands in the deep end, throws the ball to the stairs, Sammy bobs for the ball, retrieves it… all to do it again (whining the whole time). For 💦 pool use, select the corresponding “Extra” for your visit. Yellow, stripes towels for the dogs. Colorful towels for the humans. Place wet towels on the wall. They’ll dry almost instantly in the sun. Now that Fall is approaching, pine needles, leaves and other nature debris are falling into the pool. This is making upkeep more challenging. We are doing our best to keep the pool open as long as feasibly possible. Feel free to skim the water surface if it bothers you. But the pool water is correctly adjusted as clean water for continued swimming. We also set up the furniture, gazebo, hammock, doggie toys, cold drinking water and beverages for our Guests for ALL to enjoy as we enjoy this summertime!! Yea. It’s our hope that our family-like relationships between us and our Guests remain great and we to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for the playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. In fact, on some occasions, we may make Sammy’s Playground available on “off” hours. When we do, we consider this “premium time” and hope you will be more inclined to make such a donation. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).
