Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. was created in May 2009 as a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers and does not have a paid staff or a shelter. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc relies solely on volunteer foster families to take huskies into their homes until permanent, qualified, and loving homes can be found. Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is a responsible animal adoption agency and ensures that none of our dogs will ever contribute to the overpopulation of dogs in our community. The work of Texas Husky Rescue, Inc. is supported by tax-deductible contributions by individuals, corporations, and grants. Our initial goal when we began in 2009 was to save 30 huskies from area shelters. We have rescued over 2,500 and counting.

SAVING AUSSIES IN THE DFW & SURROUNDING AREAS Two young women were helping out with two separate rescues when they crossed paths trying to help a dog for one another. They quickly became close friends. After they agreed that they each had a conflict of interest with the rescue they were helping they decided to work together to start their very own rescue and that was the day NTASR was born. While the president has amazing experience in the breed, the vice president has great experience in animal welfare administration so together they made the perfect pair. NTASR helps Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, and mixes of the two. They are open to working with other working or herding dogs as well depending on the circumstances. Don't think for a second these two women won't jump to help a dog in emergent need. Thus far, several other breeds have made their way through the rescue because of their kind and caring hearts including a doodle, a dachshund, a frenchie, and a shar pei. NTASR takes behavioral and medical dogs and gets them the appropriate rehab to be able to find them the perfect forever home. Aussies are such special breeds and deserve very particular and experienced homes.

Dallas Street Dog Advocates (DSDA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was formed by volunteers who care about the loose and stray street dog problem in Dallas. What we have learned from our experience in rescuing dogs off the street is that many of them are highly adoptable. They yearn to love and be loved and deserve to be healthy, happy and have a home of their own. We have also learned that the people that live in the areas, where the stray dog problems are the worst, want our help. They are instrumental in helping us catch the strays by establishing feeding schedules and routines. They also tell us about the dog's history. Some are left when their owners move out. Some are tossed from moving cars. Some are born on the street to dogs that have been abandoned. The list goes on and on. If you can think of it, it has happened. The people have watched these dogs die of starvation, dehydration and heat stroke. They have watched them suffer after being hit by a car and left lying on the street. The dogs and the people living in these conditions need our help. These dogs are typically socialized and do very well once they are rescued off the streets and given time to decompress. Dallas Street Dog Advocates goal is to rescue as many adoptable dogs off the streets as we can find foster homes for and have the funds to care for. After they are healthy and have lived in a foster home, then we find them forever homes. We see ourselves as a "bridge" between the homeless street dogs and their forever families. We also want to serve the people who live amongst this problem by offering them dog food, flea and tick prevention, education on caring for their dogs and connecting them with available resources to have their dog spayed or neutered. Together with the help of our volunteers and supporters, coupled with our passion and love for dogs, we will make a difference in Dallas one dog, one home, and one community at a time.

The Pawerful Rescue was established in 2019 as a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue, but our founder, Stephanie, had already been rescuing strays for years. We all have a friend like that‚ don't we? No matter where she went, Stephanie would find an animal in need. It wasn't until Stephanie moved to South Los Angeles, though, that she experienced an overwhelming number of animals in need. From that point, The Pawerful Rescue grew organically. What was once just a person picking up strays and trying to reunite, vet, or rehome these little souls, morphed into an organization that is made up of like-minded individuals making a difference. Duke Hemstreet joined the rescue in 2020 and has been an instrumental part in the rescue flourishing. Our rescue has expanded into Texas, where we dream of building a sanctuary for those fur babies that need a place to call home. Our goal has always been to find the perfect home for our rescues, but if that perfect home never comes, they get to live out their days with us! We Rescue the Ones That Need the Most Rescuing! Every rescue is different. Some are breed specific or even age specific. We've rescued everyone from a five-pound miniature Poodle, to a 100-pound paralyzed Great Dane. We gravitate toward animals with extreme medical, behavioral, and other special needs as well as senior dogs. They aren't the easiest cases, but certainly the most fulfilling to watch transform. As The Pawerful Rescue continues to grow, we look forward to sharing every part of the journey with you.

As the Lone Star Dog Ranch began to develop a following on social media, Renee Eden was contacted by multiple rescue groups asking for her help and expertise in rescuing dogs on death row, discarded breeder dogs, and dogs in shelters. She found that she had the facility (the Lone Star Dog Ranch), the expertise, the passion and energy to devote time to dogs in need. In 2014 Dog Ranch Rescue, Inc. was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Dog Ranch Rescue is a separate non-profit business from the Lone Star Dog Ranch boarding facility. The rescue has it's own building and property adjacent to the Lone Star Dog Ranch property in Anna, TX. The rescue was formed to rescue and rehabilitate dogs in need from various sources, such as puppy mills, local shelters and strays. The rescue provides medical help for each dog, houses them, rehabilitates, socializes and trains them. The rescue accepts donations from the public that help cover all aspects of the cost associated with this process. When the dogs are restored to good health, spayed, neutered and have all of their needs met physically and socially we take the necessary steps to rehome them. Each home that a dog is placed in goes through a rigorous application and review process to ensure a positive outcome. If the placement of the dog is not a good fit the dog is accepted back into the rescue and the process begins again. Since our inception in 2014 over 2,000 dogs have come through the door of Dog Ranch Rescue and gone on to enjoy a very happily ever after.

At Saving Hope we would love to see that every animal knows love and kindness. No animals should have to endure needless pain and suffering. We are providing a voice to those that need it most. The animals that sit chained up with limited access to food and water. Those dumped on back roads to become someone else problem. We believe in not only helping the animals but educating the public and the community on how to do better. Alongside the Saving Hope Foundation we promote and believe in spaying and neutering all pets. We are a network of volunteer foster homes, which means all dogs adopted through us come from loving, caring homes straight to you. Since we don't use a holding facility, our dogs come to their new homes calm, relaxed, and ready for a new life, rather than being nervous and traumatized from the noise and chaos of a shelter. We evaluate, rescue, and rehabilitate abandoned Border Collies, as well as other herding breeds, and find homes that will love and cherish them forever. All of our dogs have been fully vetted to include all vaccinations, heartworm test (and treatment, if necessary), spay/neuter, and a microchip with Border Collie Rescue & Rescue contact information. Upon adoption, you will be provided with physical proof of all treatments and veterinary reports, along with a rabies tag and chip information. We will never withhold any animal information and are happy to disclose exactly where we got our dogs from and when. Our dogs have been temperament tested and reside in foster homes with active and diverse families just like yours! Our dogs are crate trained and housebroken and have received basic obedience training using only positive reinforcement techniques such as leading, shaping, R+, and counter-conditioning. We believe a rescued dog brings experiences with them when rescued, and with our loving rehabilitation, they become perfect life partners. Their backgrounds may vary from breeders to farm dogs to strays but all of them deserve the unconditional love they will be glad to give their new families. We bring them into our homes and rehabilitate them by providing love, structure, and routine. We mend wounds and clean them up both emotionally and physically. We know you have many choices of rescues to choose from. However, we believe once you get to know us, you will find our rescue family to be the perfect match for you and your family. Border Collie Rescue & Rehab is a 501(c)(3) registered rescue.

We want to tell about our small but growing animal volunteer animal rescue, foster, rehab and adoption organization. Our mission started several years ago. We try to save those animals who have no hope or a tomorrow ahead of them. We take in animals and foster and care for them. Most of our animals find loving and permanent homes through our diligent screening process. Because of the tremendous need, we are growing our organization and naming it in honor of our puppy who crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge at a very young age. We hope and believe that with your help we can touch many more lives and do more than we have already done.

Dallas Australian Shepherd & Herding (DASH) is now an official independent rescue organization sponsored by private foundations and the generous donations of friends, family, previous adoption clients and Dallas-area herding breed lovers who share a mission: to help us find a home for every lost, neglected or abandoned Australian Shepherd. DASH exists through the generous donations of people like you, and through the tireless efforts of its founders and volunteers. Our dogs are all evaluated for temperament and general disposition. They are given training if they need it, spayed or neutered when of vet-approved age and treated for any existing health issues. We have an extensive adoption application, which you can find on the main page as well as under the Applications tab, designed to ensure that no harm, neglect or abandonment ever befalls a dog we've come to love. The fee for each adoption is $450. Adoption fees cover the cost of vetting as well as administrative costs and operation costs for our rescue efforts. If you need to surrender a dog, requests must be sent via email. Evaluations will be made on a case-by-case basis. We are NOT a shelter and do not have the means to accept every dog. There is a $250 minimum surrender fee and dogs must have recent veterinary records proving current vaccinations, spay/neuter and heartworm test results. This fee is considered a donation and is non-refundable.

Chihuahua Rescue & Transport (CRT) is a foster-based rescue group that places Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes in approved homes. Our purpose is to extend public education and awareness regarding overpopulation, abuse, neglect, importance of spaying/neutering, and the tragic, high rates of Chihuahua abandonment and shelter euthanasia. We have placed thousands of Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes in approved homes since 1996. CRT requires an application, vet check, reference check and home visit for each adopter. Please Opt to Adopt…Spay/Neuter —> Save Lives CRT does not warehouse dogs in a shelter. As in most rescue groups, our dogs are cared for in healthy, safe, loving foster home environments. CRT foster parents work very hard to be sure that their foster dog feels safe and loved while working on housetraining, crate training, socialization, etc. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, fecal tested, microchipped, on heartworm preventative and have all other veterinary needs taken care of (such as heartworm treatment, dentals, luxating patellas, etc.) CRT is known, and has always been known, for taking the injured, infirm and elderly Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes.

Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas (GRRNT) was incorporated in 1997 with a mission to rescue, care for, and place in permanent loving homes, Golden Retrievers in need in the North Texas area and to educate the general public about responsible pet ownership as well as the special qualities of the Golden Retriever breed. We focus on cities in North Texas and the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW), specifically within 60 miles of the 75261 zip code. We are an all-volunteer rescue organization, with NO paid employees. We do not own nor operate a shelter or kennel space and instead place all of our dogs in loving, volunteer foster homes until the dogs are adopted. Foster families care for the dogs of as if it were their own dog for the period of time it takes to find a permanent home. Many of these dogs have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Our foster Families provide their foster dog with quality dog food, toys, basic training, stability, and, most of all, love. The love they provide is a large part of the therapy the dog needs in order to adapt successfully to his or her new forever home. GRRNT covers all medical expenses for the foster dog. More than 90% of our total budget goes directly to the dogs for veterinary expenses. The hard work and countless hours of our volunteers enable the growing success GRRNT has experienced since 1997.

We can better socialize them, as well as get to know their needs. Dachshund Lovers of Texas also believes that those with special needs and senior citizens (people as well as dogs) benefit from a healthy, loving relationship between the owner and pet. Texas OES Rescue, Inc. Texas Old English Sheepdog Rescue Incorporated, a registered 501(c) 3 of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code Corporation, is a group of dedicated volunteers who give their time and love to the rescued Sheepdogs who come into the program. We receive Old English Sheepdogs from both owner surrenders and shelters. Additionally, we coordinate with other rescue organizations throughout the United States, it‘s territories, Canada, and Mexico. We offer education and support to all who care for and love this breed. Many of our rescue Sheepdogs are in good health, but for whatever reason, need to find new homes. Occasionally, we receive a dog in need of medical attention who we nurse back to health prior to placement. While the fee for adoption usually offsets any expenses that we may encounter with our dogs, this is not always the case. We rely on membership dues, donations, Grants, and fund raisers to provide funding for these expenses. After an evaluation period in a foster home, adopted Sheepdogs arrive at their new, forever adoptive home with the following: medical history, microchip, vaccinations, groomed, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative (or treatment provided), parasite free and housebroken. It is our goal to have happy, healthy sheepdogs leaving our program with a brighter future for tomorrow.

Lots of fund raisers were done and we raised nearly every penny. In August 2019 our sweet girl succumbed to kidney disease. She is still dearly missed by all.

Highway Hounds is a 501(c)3, non-profit, foster-based animal rescue organization, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. We are a unique rescue organization in that we exist mainly to bridge the gap between traditional animal shelters and no-kill rescues in 2 different ways: 1) By providing transportation for dogs and cats from traditional shelters to no-kill rescues in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa and many other states. We also provide foster care for those whose time has run out at the shelters but have to wait for a foster spot to open up in one of the rescues; 2) By pulling dogs out of traditional shelters that are on death row and placing them in foster homes through our organization. Our Founder Highway Hounds was founded by Susan "Tutti" Trammell in September 2019. Susan became involved in rescue in the early 90 's when working at the humane society of North Texas. She fostered many dogs and cats while working there and also area veterinary hospitals as a vet tech. She then expanded her education and became a certified animal massage therapist and then on to be certified in animal behavior. Shen then decided to save more animals in need by starting a new rescue and transport. A rescue that would give dogs and cats a chance at a life they have always deserved. Her work in the rescue is driven by pure love and passion.

We are dedicated to educating the public about responsible dog ownership, particularly the importance of vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and heartworm prevention. Our MISSION is to continue working to save, rehabilitate and rehome as many dogs as we possibly can in the hopes that one day we can eradicate senseless breeding, shelter overcrowding, and needless euthanasia. H3R Dog Rescue is 501c3 Non-Profit Organization committed to rescuing herding breed dogs and sometimes other animals as well! We are foster home based in the DFW area of Texas. Heeler Houla House Rescue (H3R) started when a small group of rescuers began working together in 2011. Its' mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and place Australian Cattle Dogs (Heelers), Catahoula Leopard Dogs, and herding breeds in loving homes, although we do accept other breeds as well when possible. H3R works to promote rescuing pets as a healthy and compassionate alternative to supporting the breeding industry. H3R team members are huge advocates of spaying and neutering as an effective means to fight the current problem of overpopulation and homeless companion animals. Also, studies show that when your animals are spayed and neutered, they are expected to have a longer life span. H3R is a foster home-based rescue, which means there is no facility to stop by to meet the animals. Not only do the team members open their homes but so do families who want to help and share the same mission as H3R. All animals are vaccinated, treated for any illnesses, socialized, attend specific training courses if needed, spayed/neutered, and prepared for their new lives as beloved family members before adoptions occur. All applicants will submit an application for approval, a home check, a vet reference check, etc. H3R's plan is to match every dog with its forever family and every family with their forever companion.

Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance (GRRALL) is an all-volunteer non-profit foster-based animal rescue organization out of Fort Worth, Texas. We are committed to saving Golden Retriever and Golden Retriever mixes regardless of age or health throughout North Texas. We are always in need of donations, volunteers, foster homes, and adopters. Without regard to age, medical condition, or cost of care, GRRALL accepts Golden Retrievers and “Golden hearted” mixes in need of rescue. Many times, the care of these animals runs into the thousands of dollars. Over 95% of all GRRALL expenses are for veterinary care. For example, a healthy dog that comes from an area shelter can cost the organization $650 before they become available for adoption. They are held in isolation for several days to prevent the spread of contagious disease, receive routine vaccinations, a full medical evaluation to ensure they are healthy, and spay/neuter surgery. Dogs with more serious medical needs (i.e. heartworm disease, kennel cough, internal parasites, distemper, etc.) require more funding. GRRALL’s anticipated expenses for 2020 will exceed $150,000 dollars. GRRALL has rescued over 780 deserving animals since inception in 2010. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and 100% of all donations go toward caring for these deserving dogs and finding them a permanent, loving forever home. All GRRALL staff are unpaid volunteers. Golden Retriever Rescue Alliance, Inc. (GRRALL) is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing permanent, loving forever homes for homeless, neglected and abandoned golden retrievers and “Golden Hearted” mixes who need our help. As with any non-profit organization, GRRALL relies on your generous support to continue our operations. While we do collect adoption fees from new adoptions, this typically covers only one-third of the average expenses for each dog rescued and extraordinary expenses can be considerably more. Contributions from caring people like you must make up the rest. Your contributions provide for the medical care, rehabilitation, and placement of these wonderful animals in their new forever homes.

As of August 13, 2019, Trophy Club Animals became Four Paws One Heart, Inc. and received official 501(c)3 nonprofit status. We will still help reunite lost and founds pets in our area, rehome animals to keep them out of over crowded shelters and rescue abandoned animals in our area. We look forward to continuing to serve our community! Our History Back in 2012, the Town of Trophy Club only had a part time Animal Control Officer (ACO). I was just starting my rescue journey, and I thought I could help by creating a Facebook page to raise awareness for lost and found pets. The ACO and I presented the concept to the police chief and he approved! Trophy Club Animals began. To further assist after regular hours and weekends, I purchased my own scanner with the help of resident donations. This allows me to scan animals in the field and return them to their homes without them ever having to come into the facility. So if you see me tagged in a post -- it's because someone thinks I can help and I will always try! In 2015, I added rescuing and rehoming to the list of things I do to help TC residents and the surrounding communities. One of the things I'm most grateful for is having the opportunity to educate the public, both through my page and speaking engagements. Education is critical to ensuring others know how to be part of the solution. I hope never to see your little fur babies in person but if I do, rest assured, I’ll work hard to get them home to you. Paws up!

Great Dane

Great Dane Rescue of North Texas, Inc. is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical attention and foster care while seeking permanent homes for abandoned Great Danes in the North Texas area. GDRNT works with animal shelters to save the lives of Great Danes on death row. Many dogs that come into our program are sick, injured or have suffered abuse but there are just as many happy, healthy, well-adjusted Great Danes that find themselves facing the euthanasia needle because of hardships faced by their families. GDRNT finds loving and knowledgeable permanent homes; educates the public about the temperament, characteristics and special needs of the Great Dane breed; teaches responsible pet ownership; and promotes animal identification programs, spay/neuter programs and general animal population control. We do not have a shelter – all the Great Danes in our care are placed in trained foster homes after the dog is spay/neutered, heartworm tested, given Rabies, DHLPPC and Bordetella vaccinations, fecal tested, micochipped and treated for any other necessary veterinary needs. While a Great Dane is in GDRNT’s care, it lives as part of a foster family. During this time, each Dane’s health and temperament is evaluated which helps us make appropriate permanent placements in approved adoptive homes. In addition to providing medical and emotional rehabilitation, all foster homes crate train, work on basic obedience and housebreaking. This organization could not exist without its many volunteers. Some people donate their time by fostering, and some donate their time through administrative work or transporting sick dogs, while others donate money to support the cause. It’s not often we get to properly thank these people for their long hours and dedication to this breed because it seems that just as one dog gets to go to its forever home, several more dogs come in. Fortunately, the people who do this sort of work appreciate the sight of a once homeless dog driving off with its new family more than pats-on-the-back from other humans.

Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue & sanctuary just east of Dallas, in Quinlan, Texas. We have 22 acres devoted to housing healthy, happy rescued dogs and puppies. As a no-kill rescue organization, we promote spaying/neutering and the humane treatment of all companion animals. We receive no support from the city of Quinlan, our county, our state or the federal government. We survive solely on donations and adoption fees. GENERAL INFORMATION: Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue was born out of a deep love and concern for animals. It began because of the huge need in a community with no city or county animal services. Many times puppies, pregnant and unwanted dogs are left at our entrance or tied to our gate overnight. They are all in need of a safe place to live and recover from the harsh life of being hungry, homeless or unwanted. Every TBC dog run is covered with large carports, dog igloos with large covered feeders and water tanks. The dogs also have a separate water tank, so they can cool themselves off during the hot days of summer. The runs are large and spacious, "dog run" doesn't really describe their fenced in areas. Adoption is our ultimate goal for these precious animals and we have found homes for thousands. There are many heartwarming stores of our furry friends finding the right home and the joy they bring to those that have adopted them. We believe in providing more than just a place for pets to wait for their forever home, as we are a happy place where the dogs thrive as they wait. It is our goal to provide long term care if needed or the opportunity through adoption to give each dog the story that says, "and they lived happily ever after". On average, we provide daily care to about 100+ dogs.

DrowzyDawg Rescue is a 501(c)3 animal rescue who specialize in companion animal rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. We strive to our best to educate the public concerning animal health and welfare issues. DrowzyDawg directly participates in, and provides a forum for others to engage in the promotion of animal welfare. We are affiliated with Petco Adoption Partners and Ally Cat Allies Feral Friends Network. Seeing a need to find more outlets for rehoming healthy, loving pet animals in other states Drowzydawg Rescue now participates in large transports to other states and it has become a very needed switch from standard adoptions of one animal at a time. Today's backyard breeders and puppy mills have created an overabundant number of pet animals and many never succeed in getting that loving home so we now work toward transporting them where they will be loved and wanted. We have saved almost 1,000 dogs and cats using this process

Once your application is received, we will conduct a thorough screening process which includes a vet check of your current pets and a phone screen/interview by one of our adoption coordinators. If you rent a house or live in an apartment, we will verify huskies are accepted with the landlord/management company. Security deposits are the responsibility of the adopter. After your vet check and screenings are completed successfully, TXHR will conduct a fence/home check. This is a check for gaps, broken slats, holes, compromised spots, etc where a husky could escape. As a result of COVID-19 safety precautions, photo documentation is acceptable. Upon successful completion of the application process, a TXHR adoption counselor will set up a meet and greet with you and your matched husky. Once you determine you would like to adopt the husky, you must sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee before taking possession of the husky. All adoptions start with a 5 day trial period to ensure the husky is a good fit in your home and lifestyle.
Does your dog ever growl when you walk by their food dish? Maybe they get possessive of treats, carrying them far away and giving you side-eye when you start to approach — or snarling at your other pets or children if they get too close.
As almost every dog owner is aware, the nose of a dog is an amazing thing. Just as they can pick up sounds we can’t hear, their sense of smell and ability to pick up scents is well beyond ours. In fact, dogs have 40 times the number of olfactory receptors as humans.
More than 80 million Americans rely on their service dogs to help them navigate the world. Task-trained assistance animals perform a huge range of life-changing—in many cases, life-saving—services: These dogs act as eyes for visually impaired handlers, provide mobility support, alert to seizures and blood sugar crashes, interrupt anxiety attacks, remind their people to take medications, and so much more.
You thought your dog was house trained. Your home was clean from puddles of pee, those dreaded middle-of-the-night bathroom breaks were behind you, and you loved every minute of dog ownership… until your four-legged best friend started using the bathroom inside again. What’s going on?
Ah, poop. We humans think it’s disgusting… but many of our dogs seem to love the stuff. If you’re wondering why your canine companion tries to eat feces (either their own or that of other animals) you’re not alone!
Do you have a water-loving dog looking to burn some energy? There are countless dog parks to visit throughout our country — but some of them become far too hot in the midday sun to be safe for your pets to play. That’s why we’ve put together a list of some of the best dog water parks throughout the United States! At these locations, your pup can frolic, splash, and swim to their heart’s content.

Does your dog destroy every toy you give them? Is your house littered with remnants of fabric and stuffing of all different sizes? Are you tired of investing in “indestructible” toys only for your pup to still dismantle—or worse, get bored of—them in just a few days?
You’ve been told your dog needs regular exercise. There’s a reason “walking the dog” is a classic daily activity: Frequent excursions give your pup a chance to experience the world, maintain a healthy weight, and — most importantly — spend time with you! Consistent physical activity can also improve their strength, muscle tone, coordination, and mental ability over time.

Many dogs have gotten a bad reputation over the years for being "dangerous breeds." Rottweilers are among them. Like pit bulls and other large, blocky-headed types of dogs, these powerful and beautiful animals are often assumed to be aggressive.
Your dog is reactive. They’ll see another dog, person, or other stimulus in the environment (like a car or bike) while out on a walk and suddenly go crazy at the end of their leash. The barking, lunging, and growling feels embarrassing for you — and it’s clear that your pup isn’t having a great time either.
Does your dog display reactivity to other pets or people? Maybe they’re a new rescue pup and are still settling into your home. Or they were sick growing up, so you missed their critical socialization period. Possibly they’ve had a bad experience after being raised as a normal puppy.
Do you have a reactive dog or suspect you may have one? You’re not alone!

From 2009 to 2020, there was a 40 percent increase in the development of public dog parks. Designated spots for canine exercise have become commonplace in every major city in North America — many pet owners won’t even consider renting an apartment that doesn’t have its own fenced-in pet area for their canine companions.
Thousand Oaks, California has been a safe haven for Sniffspot host, Jen, since childhood. Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
