Amazing organization! Invested in saving dogs from around our state and the country!

Fetch Wisconsin Rescue

#54 in United States, #1 in Wisconsin

https://fetchwi.org/

info@fetchwi.org

Service areas:

Dane County and South Central Wisconsin

Fetch Wisconsin Rescue is an entirely volunteer run organization dedicated to finding homes for dogs in need. We spend time getting to know each dog to make the best possible match for their forever home. Since the group's founding in April 2013, we have rescued more than 3,500 dogs. We aim to help our dogs become happy and balanced, and for our volunteers to be confident pack leaders.

Mission and Vision

Fetch Wisconsin Rescue is dedicated to the rescue & rehabilitation of dogs from over-crowded shelters, as well as dogs surrendered by local owners who are unable to care for them.

Adoption Policy

We match dogs in foster care to each applicant based on criteria specific on your application and home visit report. Learn more about details of our adoption process here: https://fetchwi.org/adopt-how-it-works

"Amazing organization! Invested in saving dogs from around our state and the country!"

"Fetch has changed my life by giving me the opportunity to adopt my best friends. On top of that, I've gotten so many opportunities to grow as an individual through fostering and coordination opportunities within the organization. Absolutely unmatched mentoring and support structure."

jackie d.

Adoptee, Volunteer / foster, Supporter, Fan

"We got both of our dogs from Fetch, and have loved the work that they do to get dogs into homes that will love and provide them good futures! Our two dogs, both Great Pyrenees, came up from Texas and I appreciate all the work they've done to get dogs moved and fostered in Wisconsin until they are finally adopted. I appreciate that they put a lot of focus on reviewing the homes that the dogs will go to, and trying to enforce that dogs are sufficiently cared for throughout their lives."

"my family has gotten all of our dogs from fetch they have family’s meet the dogs and pick what family they feel would be best fit for the dogs before they put them up for adoption they work on things like anxiety and potty training and make sure they have all of there shots + lots more!!"

"I adopted my dog from Fetch WI. They do a fantastic job of rescuing dogs from other states, transporting them to WI, finding loving foster families, and just going above and beyond to save dogs. Plus, they hold awesome community events. Top notch organization."

"I have been volunteering with FetchWI for three years. It started with me looking for a dog to adopt, which I did. I quickly applied to volunteer and currently do home visits, transports, events, dog sitting, etc. FetchWI is in a class by itself when it comes to matching the right dog with the right family. All dogs are with fosters. We don't have a brick and mortar buiding. This is such an advantage for the dogs, and those looking to adopt,. The stories shared by each foster about their foster dog give real insight into the dog's personality. Dog not cat friendly and you have a cat? No need to check into the dog further, etc. I love volunteering for this organization and they truly are the best of the best! ♥"

"They're so dedicated and loving. They genuinely and whole heartily care about the animals and the people who adopt and foster."

trina s.

Volunteer / foster

"I have fostered with Fetch since 2016 and adopted a dog from them in 2020. Fetch is an all volunteer organization and they really care about taking great care of the dogs and finding them forever homes! Fetch works with dogs with all types of issues and will rehabilitate dogs even with serious behavioral problems. They keep dogs in foster care as long as necessary to get them ready for adoption, and give them whatever behavioral and medical help they need to get there."

"Fetch WI has brought together the most amazing community of dog lovers! I’ve adopted twice with Fetch in the last 3 years. In that time I’ve emailed with, talked to and met 6 or 8 individuals going through the process and everyone I’ve worked with has not only been kind, compassionate and thoughtful but very knowledgeable about the process and the communication between all 3 parties was always spot on. Easy to reach out to, greeted with enthusiasm and appreciation. And the support! My first adoption (Penny!) was a little scary since she was my first dog. I was so nervous but the staff and fosters made me feel so comfortable, I knew I wasn’t alone if I had questions or needed help or advice. And Fetch WI is always down to party! I’m always seeing posts about get-togethers and opportunities to meet up! Those guys are the BEST! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

How This Family is Affording Their Dream Property Through Renting it Hourly to Dogs

Thousand Oaks, California has been a safe haven for Sniffspot host, Jen, since childhood. Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
