55Exactly as described. We loved it and most importantly Wink gained confidence being able to relax and run in the water and sniff everything. It’s been difficult to find a safe water spot for him to explore and get wet. He’s actually afraid of water so being able to see him do zoomies as close to shore as he could get, but still be in the water was delightful. We enjoyed the long winding driveway in and hiked up and down a few times also exploring the water lookout spot halfway up the drive. Very relaxing and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. We would love to come back and let Wink explore more water fun. Maybe past his belly. Ha, ha. I’m glad we got that far!! Beth D.

55Second time even better. Wink was relaxed and happy right from the start. He played in the water, biting at the waves and dunking the ball. Explored in the bushes hiding the ball and finding it again. Love this place. Beth D.

55A piece of paradise for my girl and I!! I let her explore first, then we did some kayaking.
The property is clean and beautiful. The road to the spot would be tough right now in a lower car, so beware. But you could also park at the top and walk down.
It was private, and the only noise is from people across the lake and boats.
I am always on the lookout for safe spots for my reactive dog. She is dog selective and just can’t have loose dogs running up to her. Boat launches are almost never safe, so this is now on my short list of perfect places for us. Kimberly C.

55We had a blast! One dog loved going in the water and my other pup enjoyed exploring the woods! It was nice and quiet. Water was very warm and clean. I wasn’t thinking and wore flip flops, so make sure you bring some sneakers or good foot wear! Lovely property!Rebecca B.

55Good spot! About 15-20 minutes of walking time up and down the driveway depending on how much your pup likes to sniff :) We did pass someone who was walking their dog on the property right as we were heading out (about 1 minute after Sniffspot time slot ended) which could be an issue if you have reactive pups like mine, but we were in the car already so we just had to deal with barking thankfully! I would just be aware coming in and heading out if you have reactive pups but otherwise overall a great spot 💗 We will be back!!Camron C.

55Amazing location! We have an outback and parked down near the cottages. Best feeling knowing our pup could run on the driveway freely while exploring the beach and woods without risk of cars or other dogs. Easy to find, peaceful, and a true treasure! Jess D.

FAQ about our Acton dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Acton area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 79 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 7 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
