It was such a nice morning with a breeze so we didn't get too hot. They checked out the pond but mostly enjoyed stretching their legs on the rest of the beautiful property. Water left out for the pups was certainly an appreciated bonus. There were treats and some other things left on a picnic bench plus a trash can as well. 55This property is about 45 mins from me and after visiting it, I know it was totally worth it. First, it can be hard to identify the right location in some of these “rural” spots, but Mandy has a “Sniffspot” sign right by the start of the driveway to her property. I didn’t have to wonder if I was going down the right road. This was a small touch that I appreciated. Mandy also communicated really well so I knew exactly where I could park, where to enter, etc. The property was absolutely gorgeous. She has 2 fenced areas. One encircles her home and the other is the larger “field” area. The area by her home is plenty large enough by itself. I have 3 80+ pound dogs, two of which are high energy runners and this area was plenty for them before even going into the field area. Mandy has thought of everything a guest might need. She has a picnic table by her home stocked with human snacks, bottled water, dog toys, dog brushes, water bowl for dogs, sunscreen, bug dope, etc. Theres a waste bin conveniently located so I didn’t need to try and figure out where to throw away the waste. There are shade trees in this area as well. After my dogs explored this whole area, we ventured into the field. This area isn’t just a giant flat blank spot. It’s visually interesting with groves of trees, several trails created by mowing down the tall grasses that zig zag across and around the property. This was awesome because once my dogs explored one trail, they found another and another - no boredom or “zone fatigue” here! At first I was nervous because there are areas where your dog can run out of your sight, but I didn’t need to. The whole place is secure and even my escape artist couldn’t figure out how to get loose. There is a neighboring property on one side of the field area that has a dog we could hear barking but it was inside. I imagine that on some occasions that dog would be outside (as it should!) and could greet your dogs (safely separated by the cattle wire fence). If you have a reactive pup, you might want to keep that in mind and steer clear of that side - this property is plenty large enough to do that - or be prepared to monitor. I also want to remind guests that they are in the country so you might want to check your dogs paws from time to time for burs, poke-y grass etc that could get in their paws. One of mine has longer hair in her paws and she picked up a burr that was easy enough to remove. There is also a pond area that we didn’t check out but plan to next time. Last, and the best part, was my dogs absolutely LOVED every minute of the hour we spent here. I swear they were smiling the whole time. Frankly, it’s great for humans too! It’s peaceful, quiet, absolutely gorgeous and a great way to relax from the noise of suburbs and cities. I can’t recommend this place enough. Melanie S.

Are fully fenced dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. Human and animal safety is our #1 focus. Without a private option, many dog owners are relegated to using athletic fields or tennis courts for their dogs, which are not private or safe. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a fully fenced dog park works for my dog?
Many people looking for fully fenced parks have dogs that are not good with voice control. Start by applying basic filters, such as fences height and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. You can see attributes of fences such as height, gaps and fencing type to find the perfect fenced-in space for dogs. You can filter by size to make sure you have plenty of space, or a smaller space if you prefer a neighborhood park. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our off-leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible near the space. If you prefer wood chips, many of our parks have wood chips or indoor space if you prefer a beautiful park building.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot fully fenced dog park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit use by pregnant dogs and we do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules, such as staying within the designated off-leash areas. Each park location also has their own set of rules that guests need to follow, such as limiting excessive barking.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot fully fenced dog park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
