Sniff Away and Play!

My husband and I have a little peace of heaven here in the Shenandoah Valley! Our goal is to provide a space for all dogs to play, run and sniff away! We have a huge field with a platform/ramps, tug rope, agility poles, stick collection, hidden container with treats and possibly a prize toy! We host many special events for pups as well as birthday parties for your pups! I spent many years volunteering, fostering and ultimately adopting many animals from rescue non-profits over the years. Throughout all of the years I spent in animal rescues, I realized that most dogs don’t get much time outside of the kennels. I also came to understand that many rescue animals have trauma related behaviors and cannot integrate with other dogs. I feel so grateful to be able to provide a space for dogs to be off leash and have the freedom to explore! Also, it is a significant bonding experience for pups and their parents to have this special time together! Our dogs are in a separate fenced area but because I feel this time is for you and your pup(s), I will put my pups in the house so they are not visible to you and your pups. **Update as of 3/15/25. I've just put down some grass seed, so there's a little more loose dirt out there than usual. Not so much that the yard is unusable though!** We have somewhere between a third to a half acre in our backyard, fully enclosed with a 5 to 7-ft wood fence. We have shady spots, but there also aren't too many trees, so there is plenty of room to play fetch and run around. Vienna Dog Park Rules Users • Park is for free play for dogs, their handlers and those accompanying handlers only. • Dogs must be at least 4 months, vaccinated and wear a visible dog license. • Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression. • Dogs in heat are not allowed. • Handlers must be 16 or older and are limited to two dogs • Children must be at least 8 and any under 16 must be accompanied by an adult • Training of dogs is not allowed. • No more than 2 dogs per owner. • Please limit your use to 1.5 hours during peak times. Safety • Scoop the Poop – Poop is a health hazard. This law has a $250 fine. • Change water often to avoid passing illness • Ask handlers before offering treats to their dogs.
