55Large space, gated in. Lots of fun trees for my dog to sniff and explore.
45My little guy loved this sniff spot. Lots of room to run and climb. Easy to find with the instructions. Only issue was other owners not picking up after their dogs.
55Very easy to find based on directions, fence was clearly marked and well maintained. Our pups loved the wooded area, jumping and sniffing all the logs and hiding in leaf piles. Parts were quite steep so it was helpful to have good shoes on, but the pups enjoyed running up and down.
55My dogs really enjoyed their visit (I did too!).
55Bella had a blast! Her tail was wagging the whole time and she had a huge smile on her face! The Sniffspot was exactly as described and easy to locate.
45The place was wooded and as described. My dog is a 60 pound mixed breed and very agile, so when she got up on her hind legs and started to push the fence down, I became very nervous, and had to pull her away. The fence is four feet or lower in parts where it is tucked under. For my athletic, fence vaulting pup, I need places with six foot fences. But clearly as the reviews state, it is very nice for most dogs.
55Fantastic spot!! So much to sniff and explore! Ripley had a great time!!
55my dogs and I visited for a second time. So much fun for my big and small girl. great host
55Great experience! Very clear instructions. Well fenced, my dogs ahead a great time doing the zoomies and sniffing all the trees
55This was our first ever use of sniff spot and it was great. The property was as described, it was clean and quiet. My boy had a great time running around and smelling all the smells! Alice was a great hostess!

Description

Find us on Facebook! Search: Hound Hill, 1 acre fenced private dog park in West Avon Hound Hill is a fully fenced one acre wooded doggy paradise. We have our own pack of four dogs and created this space for them. They use the large yard daily but will always be secured inside the house for the entirety of your visit. Hound hill is an unimproved wooded area, but we have cleared brush, leaves and sticks for easier walking and playing with your dog. Our fence is mesh critter fence which is wildlife friendly for the deer, bears, bobcats and other animals that travel through our property. If you are looking for a large space for fetch or just to let your dog explore then this is the place! Please note that the dog park is on a hill and there are no paved or flat areas within the park. It is recommended that you wear good shoes with traction and are comfortable walking through an unimproved wooded area. There are rocks, sticks, leaves and uneven terrain. If you have physical limitations this park may be very difficult for you to use. When you arrive please take time to walk the fence line with your dog on leash first to ensure the fence is intact. Due to the nature of critter fencing and the abundance of wildlife, we have had occasional breaks caused by deer and bear as well as branches that have fallen. If you spot any issue please message the host and they will immediately address the issue. We love this fence because it does not entangle the wild animals and is very easy to repair. This means we have to inspect it often, and we do, but for the safety of all we encourage each doggie chaperone to do their own visual inspection before allowing dogs free rein. We do treat the area with cedar oil for ticks. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides or fertilizer. Please pull all the way into the drive and park in the gravel spot to the left of the garage. There is marked parking for one vehicle. If you have additional vehicles please park the second vehicle in the culdesac and walk in. Do not block the garage doors. Enter and exit through the gate directly in front of the parking spot. Please do not use the gate on the other side of the lot for any reason. Please do not use the smaller fenced area directly off the back of the house. Please pick up after your dog. Removal of dog waste is imperative in order for us to continue to offer this spot. Thank you so much for visiting, I love seeing our clients and their dogs enjoy themselves so much while playing freely!

Host replied: Thank you for bringing dog waste to my attention. I have been out today blowing leaves and I have picked up two piles. I do check often but we were fully booked all day yesterday and I know it can be hard to find it out there sometimes if your dog isn’t right next to you, it hides well in the leaves and rocks.
