Hello, We would like to welcome our dog friends to our private fully fenced wooded dog park we named The North Star Ranch. The North Star is positioned right over our entrance, and you might see it if you stay at the ranch late. Our ranch currently has no land improvements, which means that you’ll have to bring your own water, snacks, poo bags, and flashlights if you book early or late in the day. Also we have no trash collection, so please take your waste home with you. This is what we do as well. Consider a visit to our ranch a visit to nature that has been fenced in for your dogs’ convenience. And as in all Florida woods, there are some safety concerns you need to be aware of before your reservation. There are more or less visible stumps and vines all over the ranch. There are also some prickly cacti, buckthorn bushes and brambles. Tree logs and trunks have been arranged in some areas as edging for trails. The ranch is a work in progress and we are very slowly cutting prickly plants back to where they aren’t in dogs’ faces, but it’s taking us a while. So be prepared for an encounter with (hopefully gentle) Florida wilderness. Long pants and closed toed shoes are very much recommended. We also suggest tick spray if you’re worried about them. We find that in winter time they are rare. Mosquito cream is available during summer months at the gate. We recommend you use it. There is a 20 liter canister of water for dogs available at the picnic table along with a black rubber bowl. There is a back gate at the ranch and we don’t suggest venturing out of, as the back of the property is NOT fenced, and trails are unkempt. Please stay in the fenced-in area only for your safety! We hope you and your dog enjoys lots of sniffing while you’re either strolling along or sitting down in one of our picnic areas. There is some agility equipment available at your discretion. Please use it wisely and look out for your pet’s safety first. Wilderness warning! ⚠️ Snakes have been spotted at the ranch several times. Our dogs run through the ranch daily, so wildlife is used to human and canine presence. This was their home before we enclosed it, so we respect their presence and move around them if we spot them. To this date we haven’t had any negative experience with the wildlife, and we surely want to see you stay safe as well. Keep your eyes open if you veer off the main paths, and have some treats in your pocket to help call your dog back to you in case of a snake sighting. The sightings definitely drop off in the colder months. We hope you enjoy our ranch as much us we do! Our dogs absolutely love it and we lovingly nicknamed this place our “sanity ranch”. Enjoy!

10 acre professional animal training ranch. Dog area is fully fenced for all size dogs. Large oak tree for shade with a bench for sitting. Kiddie pool, hose access, and sand box. Playground equipment for dogs to play on, and lots of room to run and play. Horses and cows are visible in pastures next to the dog yards, and safely secure with two fences including a 6ft fence.

Satchel's Place is a non-profit 501c(3) and state licensed. We are a member of the Greated Hernando Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from Satchel's Place benefit local rescues and pet owners suffering financial hardship. Working with local vets, we can provide financial assistance for pets facing "financial euthanasia" because owners cannot afford medical care for their best friend. Five minutes from either the Dade City exit (293, Blanton Rd) or from the north, exit 301 (US98/SR50). Centrally located 35 minutes from Tampa, 45 minutes from Orlando. Over 3 acres, completely fenced. Cleared area with shade for ball playing, wooded paths for walking. Enjoy privacy in a beautiful, natural setting with your pup! Agility equipment on site (recreational use only). Please note, this is a rural setting. Dogs may be heard barking in the background, but they cannot be seen nor can they enter the site. It includes plenty of space for your pups to roam & run along with its own dog park obstacle course and a pool w/ a waterslide!

Fully fenced in with plenty of trails to run and sniff. The woods is separated from our main yard. So you’re welcome to hang out without anyone invading your space. We are working on implementing an agility course, so be on the lookout for that! The natural landscape provides a lot of shade, and there is usually a nice breeze under the canopy. Located walking distance from Orange City Elementary, this would be a perfect spot to let your dog roam and sniff before picking the kids up! Take a seat and let your dog roam, sniff, and dig.

All available free of charge, WiFi, parking, lighting, electrical outlet, bon fire pit, grill, water and bowl, pet enclosures, dog runs, folding chair, toys, smokers outpost for roaches and butts. (tobacco and 420 friendly) Please clean up after your pet. A scooper is available. Please scoop poop do not bag up your poop unless it’s a fetish thing. It’s stupid we bag poop. Just don’t leave it where someone will step in it or smell it! If your dog is sick in my grass, report it so it can be sanitized properly. You don’t have to have a pet to enjoy, just rent the spot! 5 acres of partially cleared and wooded land with a shallow and deep pond fully stocked with brim, cane pole and kid fishing is allowed, there are turkeys, guineas and chickens on site that can be caged. All drinks are acceptable and smoking friendly. There is a bathroom with outside access along with water hoses and outlets/extension cords. If you have your own training device you’d like to bring and set up we can work out half day or full day rates. This property is great for SAR training

Fully fenced backyard, I have a very friendly large dog that loves to socialize, but we don’t mind giving you privacy. The dogs next door do bark at the fence sometimes, but are not visible.
