Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends. The Pooch Playground

From December first on, the spot will only be open if we don't have a significant amount of snow. Please check back regularly to see if any slots are open. There is no water in the Winter. Situated on a scenic working farm, the Pooch Playground spans about 1/4 acre and is fully enclosed. Tucked next to a small woodland area, this location offers enough distance from the house and barn for a feeling of privacy. The field adjacent to the area is preserved for wildlife. We mow the spot every week, except during drought conditions. We purposely maintain longer grass (2-3 inches instead of cutting it too short) to withstand high traffic and dog urine. We leave 'islands' of grass long for sniffing and exploration. Look at the pictures of the spot. If a toy ends up in the field and you don't want to walk through the tall grass, let us know, and we will retrieve it.

We were visiting the area and this was a perfect place to let our Labrador run around in a safe, off leash area. She had a wonderful time. We rented the space for two hours. It was gorgeous on the trails today; I should have booked more time! We loved the festive Halloween decorations at the top of the field! I had one minor freak-out today when Luna (the big pup) ran ahead and started sniffing what looked like a porcupine, but it was only a fraying stump (see it in the pics). Hahaha! Wow- can’t recommend Tioga Tail Trails enough! Susan was kind and quick to respond to my messages when I introduced myself and again when I had to let her know we’d be arriving a little late. It had just snowed that morning and it was a beautiful sight to see the hills and trees covered in fresh snow. The dogs had an absolute blast and even though it was freezing out (the ‘feels like’ was in the teens) we wish we had booked a longer visit. I live 2 hours away and was visiting NH for the day, but if I lived closer, I’d be there every weekend!

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
