There are 15 acres of native prairie grasses and plants. There are a few trees and rolling hills. There is approximately 1.5 miles of mowed trails that loop and connect, creating several options for new routes for each visit. There is also an outhouse available if needed. However, it is within our normally private area, so dogs must be on leashes and there are hooks for leashes while in use.

Private entrance is shaded with easy access right onto the wooded trails! The portapotty and dog rinse station are located in the parking area. Now my description: Opportunity Woods offers 5+ acres of hilly woods and long grass meadow surrounded by a secure 6 foot fence. Several benches are placed along the rustic trails, but of course, there is no need to stay on a trail! A water bowl can be found and filled from the human-potable water hydrant, where you will also find a wading pool for dog and human use in summer. There is a roofed picnic/shade shelter just up the hill from the hydrant. Take in the serene view of the surrounding area, and get a Birdseye view of Opportunity Farm, where sheep graze the nearby paddocks. Wire-wheel tables and chairs are available for relaxing, hanging out with your dog or having a picnic. Have your dog invite their friends to join in the fun, or have a private play date just with you!

What a wonderful spot! The fenced in area was plenty big enough to throw some balls for our boy. The trail was well maintained. The driveway was blocked due to it being muddy, but it was a short, easy walk to the main areas! We will absolutely be back!

We come here fairly often and the pups always have a nice time. Recently we added two more dogs to our pack. This place is just the right size to get them all the exercise they could ever need but big enough for the bigger dogs to be thoroughly worn out after an hour. It’s easy to find and always clean. Great and private spot. Was a bit nervous about the area not being fully fenced, but the way the trails and vegetation are arranged it was totally not an issue for our excitable GSD. This sniffspot is perfect for our border collie. First, we used the enclosed field to play fetch with her. After about 30 mins, we walked the beautiful paths.
