We have about 1/3 of an acre that our house sits on. The backyard is fully fenced and is a great size for throwing balls, letting your dog run around. We have some dog toys as well that can be used during the use of the yard. In the summer, we can set up a kiddie pool for your dog to splash in. Update as of March 2024 - Unfortunately, due to new neighbors behind us, our yard isn't quite the reactive-dog sanctuary it used to be. We love reactive pups and are doing all we can to ensure you're pups are able to safely run and play. Our yard is long but narrow and we now have two dogs behind us that can be very vocal. They tend to be let outside in mid-afternoon and on weekends. Please keep this in mind. We can not force them to stay inside, of course, but will work with you to find a time for your reactive dog to visit when they're not outside. Early morning works best. Thanks for understanding! Added FYIs: Place bagged poop in the small garbage bin. Please do not allow pups to dig or to enter the small separately fenced garden. If you remember, it helps to throw "fetch" in lots of different directions to spread out the "wear and tear." IF something goes over the fence, do please just let us know (we will contact the neighbor)--do not physically step over the fence (it causes fence damage). "Same day" bookings will probably have the bedtime and morning 💩 from my pups since I routinely only pick up after work during warm months. If you book 24+ hours in advance I can squeeze in an extra poo pickup before work. *WINTER I pick up weekly, weather-permitting, so might NOT be a great spot for pups who eat poopsicles--you know who you are!

We keep a trail mowed that loops down into the bottom of the yard so you have a comfortable walking trail and your 4 legged friends can use it as a racetrack! I am the proud mama of two fearful and reactive dogs and work as a caregiver specializing in special needs animals and dogs with special behavior cases, esp. fear-based aggression. We built this yard specifically for fence jumpers and dogs that need and deserve a quiet and private space to play and feel safe. Our spot’s entrance is remotely controlled, allowing us to ensure there is zero risk of anyone entering the yard during your visit. We believe our guests deserve security and privacy, and will never enter the yard unless you have specifically requested that we do (i.e. if there is an emergency and you have expressly asked me to come out to the yard and help you). Our yard is spacious, wooded, and green with full 8ft privacy fencing including inwardly-angled fence extenders. Doggie extras: get ready for wooded trails, “barkour” obstacles, the perfect grassy bowl for fetch, agility jumps and tunnels, a tennis ball bit, splash pool in the summer, and so much more. For the humans - we hope you’ll enjoy our Adirondack chairs, snacks, and when it’s warm, our hammock chairs and swing set. Plenty of room for some zoomies or fetch! ❗️recently added some DIY agility equipment We’re near to the airport, two preschools, apartments, and Target. The privacy fence blocks most of the visuals, but it can get a bit noisy with kids playing and planes overhead. There’s a couple neighborhood dogs, a few bark from inside their homes. We have a resident cat who will occasionally snooze in the window sill. ⚠️ the neighbor dog is occasionally an escape artist and will wander over from across the street to sniff the green space next to our yard. If your pup is dog reactive, this might not be the spot for you.

Hello! My husband and I recently lost our dogs within months of each other. So now we have this nice big yard, but no puppies to fill it with.. For now :) Seems a shame to waste a nice yard. One of our dogs was leash aggressive and our other would get anxious at dog parks. We totally understand what it means to have a yard for your dog who may struggle a bit with other parks. Our yard is fully fenced in with two gates to get in. The neighborhood is quiet with a couple neighbors who have dogs but they keep to themselves and we never had problems. Our dogs were smaller, so we are not sure if a bigger dog would be able to jump the fence. We do have lots of rabbits - just to let you know. Our dogs never caught them though :) We also have a patio area with chairs and will have a bin or space with doggie essentials -poo bags, trash can, water dish, and maybe some balls.

All woods, no lawn. For dogs who like to explore and sniff among the trees. Walk the trail or watch from the elevated deck. Great place for a fenced-in romp through pesticide-free nature. Visibility is limited by seasonal foliage, and the back 30 feet of the yard is a bit of a bramble, but most of the woods has a low groundcover. Possible fauna sightings include squirrels, rabbits, turkeys, deer, songbirds, and native mosquitos. Water dish available plus a pitcher of water with advanced notice. Last-minute bookings should plan to bring water just in case, as we've turned off the hose for the season. Off-street parking in the driveway turnaround. The path around the house to access the yard is uneven and requires climbing several steps. It may be difficult for those with mobility issues and we recommend wearing shoes/boots.

We offer you access to a 1/2 acre, fully fenced, off leash area where your dog can do whatever they want. They can dig in the sandbox or dirt pile (or wherever else they would like), walk on the meandering mowed paths, climb the gigantic tree branch, cool off in the kiddie pool, hop around on the stack of straw bales, sniff the local plants, flowers and grasses, play games with their favorite person on the mowed playing field, or take a nap in the sun (or shade if you come in the beginning of the day). We don't use lawn chemicals, so your pup is always safe to roll in the clover or nibble on grass. Resident dog may bark briefly from indoors at you but will be out of direct sight. If your pup is reactive to sound, please let me know ahead of time & I will do my best to remove mine from the property while you visit. All proceeds from this Spot go to dog rescue. <3 SUMMER: Kiddie pool will be setup in warmer weather (65F and up) unless guest requests otherwise.
