55This may be a bit long, but the TL;dr is: I drove an hour from Salem to get here and I would (and likely will) 100% so it again.
This is a really large area that is fully (and securely) fenced. My border collie Auggie can be a bit of a Houdini when he wants to be, so we walked pretty much the entire fence line and it is super secure, even for smaller dogs.
There’s a mix of long and short grass, which was perfect because Auggie could frolic in the longer areas while I didn’t have to wade through it if I didn’t want to.
There is a neighbor’s dog on the right side of the property that is visible, but it pretty much ignored us the entire time we were there. Auggie can be dog reactive, but he had no issues because there was so much more to explore. There are also chickens in one area that are fenced off, but visible, but again they weren’t that interesting to Auggie compared to everything else.
The property is super easy to find and Linda’s instructions were spot on. We had no issues getting in or leaving, and the drive out there was absolutely beautiful.
Linda also provided poop bags and a trash bin right by the front gate, which was super appreciated (I never like having to bring those stinky poop bags back in the car for the drive home).
Finally, my only tip would be wearing boots if you go during one of Oregon’s many rainy seasons. There are some areas that are a bit muddy (understandably), but even with the mud, Auggie didn’t actually get that dirty because there were so many other areas to run around and get the mud off.
All in all, I can’t rave about this place enough. Truly such an amazing property and I’m so grateful to Linda for opening it up!!Ashley K.

55Gorgeous pasture with tons of space to run, and lots of different areas to sniff!! The fencing felt safe and secure. Wear pants for the long grassy areas if you want to go deeper into the meadow (there’s a mowed path too with shorter grass). She had so much fun frolicking through the wildflowers. Alison W.

55My dogs had a great time at Linda's 3 acres. The pasture isn't a rectangle so there were lots of places to explore off to the side. There is fair sized chicken yard and I didn't know it was there until there was barking and squawking. Luckily my dogs come when called so maybe it wasn't too terrifying for the chickens! The fencing is good, the front part of the pasture is mowed and the back is longer, which my dogs loved rolling around in. There's a not very deep ditch around the pasture, part had standing water in it, other parts were a tad muddy. At this time of year boots are a good idea. We will be back again soon! Diane B.

55WOW. This was by far the most memorable Sniffspot we’ve been to. It’s hard to convey just how huge the pasture is. My collie had a blast running circles around the property, watching cows and playing in the stream. Just a gorgeous, gorgeous place especially at sunset.
It was our first time here and I actually went in the wrong gate, but there is a little white sign (shown in pictures) in front of the right one!Eryn W.

55Such a fun spot! Love the massive pasture with plenty of nooks and crannies and a ditch around it to explore. Of course my lab went straight for the water. He zoomied around like crazy and had a blast. There’s an old dog on the neighboring property but he/she seems chill. We’ll definitely be back!Chantalle v.

55Very large place to play. Fence was secure all the way around less the gate which might pose a problem for smaller dogs( standard farm gate) , but was no issue for us. One pup loved the open area for fetch, and the other immediately found the mud and water to play in! There were dogs visible and auditable, but the reactive dog in our pack didn’t seem to mind. Three friendly grass puppies (some people might call them cows) at the far end of the property separated by a fence. Bees were not very active when we were there on a gray morning. Overall a great Sniffspot! Highly recommended!Carter L.

FAQ about our Fruitland dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
How much do Sniffspot fields cost?
Dog fields in the Fruitland area range from $6.0 and $10.0. The least expensive dog field is The Spirit Ranch 1 Acre Private Dog Park In Eagle. The most expensive dog field is Quiet Country Oasis. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
