Large fully fenced yard space available for any size dogs. 6 ft wood fence at the back of the property and 5 ft chain link fence on the sides. There is a 5 ft black metal fence separating the yard from the pool area. The back metal gate must remain closed at all times while you are there. This yard is owned by 2 dogs, but they will not be outside at the time of your sniff visit. Enter at the end of the driveway through the large wood gate. Tug rope is attached to the tree. Large swingset & slide available for agile dogs. Other outdoor toys are available in a large bucket. Please clean up after your dog. Poop bags and trash can are on site.

All friendly dogs are welcome!

Fenced in backyard in Belchertown. A little over 1/4 acre to play in. Plenty of seating available while your dog runs around. Spigot with large dog bowl back there as well. Welcome to our brand new Sniffspot area in Sturbridge (Fiskdale) MA. We are excited to provide an off leash play space for your furry bestie. Conveniently located close to the Massachusetts Turnpike and Rte 84. While I usually require advance notice, if you message me, and I'm able to immediately respond, I may be able to accommodate last minute reservations. Our yard is an open invitation, whether it's a game of fetch or a gentle roll in the grass. Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… it sure is fun to watch them go!! Zoom-Zoom. (Important information on pricing and opening the gate are at close of this section. Pull your vehicle right up to the main gate.) The areas along the edges of the yard are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central area of the yard has a slight hill and is mostly open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! It’s our hope that our respectful relationships between us and our Guests remain great and we can continue to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list our SniffSpot at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for Sammy’s Playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. PawsNewEngland.com for information about fostering, donating, adopting or other ways to support this amazing group. They save over 1,000 dogs per year. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. MUST: when you leave, lock the gate. Doubly ensure that you have done so by lifting the knob. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).

This spot is a large fenced in yard. It has a small wooden area for pups to explore. There is a lacrosse net and netting in part of the yard for my kids when they play lacrosse backyard. They won’t be back there when the yard is rented. Please make sure to read the directions for parking and where to enter the backyard entrance as it is a bit hidden. Please go down Littlefield Rd. Take the first left onto an unmarked street. You will see a middle school field on your right. Our metal gate entrance is on your left. When school is in session please park on Littlefield or Winston Rd. Otherwise you can pull up to the gate. Thank you and have fun!

***Agility equipment will be gone from November 13th - April 1st. Two fenced in fields each > 100x90. One field closest to road has two fences at 4 feet ant one at 5 feet. The other field has 6 foot fence on all sides. Agility equipment is setup in one of the fields from April - December. Price is lowered during winter months since there is no agility equipment. Increase in rental prices reflect maintenance and upkeep of equipment and park.
