55Ray & Janet have the best setup in the area. Agility course, pond with a lil canoe, paddles and both human and dog life jackets - safety furst, fire pit with fire extinguisher, pic nic table, gazillion toys (frisbee, chuckit sticks, different balls and water toys), Adirondack type chairs all over (even under a tent for when it rains), walking trails, a ton of poop depots (each with poop bags), and the ultimate porter potty with motion sensor lights and strawberry scented air fresheners and the obvi hand sanitizer).
Did they put all their love and care into this spot? You betcha!
It's a fairly new spot and they have big plans for making it even more pawsome.
Because I'm who I'm, I had a blue green algea test in the car left over from our summer adventures at nearby lakes. I'm a trust but verify kinda gal. Guess whoatt? They even have notes on the board about that test. Talking about preparedness:-) Tested the pond water just to be safe. All came back negative for toxins. It's water time for Sky! Even Choo did a swirl. On the agility course, my ball boy had a blast. Is it his thing? Not really, but can he learn new tricks to get the ball? You betcha! Great enrichment experience for 2 hours packed of fun. Didn't see or hear any other animals. Fencing isn't an issue for us since ball control = Sky control. Had a long chat with the owner at the end. Really cool spot. Check out the pics!
Last but not least, I'd like to say that if any poop is found on trails etc, don't blame the lack of poop bags or poop bag dispensers. I've never seen a spot with so many! Please pick up your dog's poop peeps! No one else wants a piece of it to remember you by 🤪Ines D.

The driveway, parking, and trails are clearly marked, there's an agility course, hiking trails, a giant pond, and so much for my dogs to get in to. They had an absolute blast, and are now currently napping.

Everything exceeded our expectations. We were very impressed with all the awesome touches. Folks who love dogs created this Sniffspot. Parking is well marked, toys are plentiful, covered areas, watering hole, a place to clean paws, hiking trails, really comfy chairs, porta potty, AND a pond!!! Wow!

We had a great time, I took 3 dogs and they all had a blast, my lab mix got a bit too enthusiastic with the lake and it was hard to get her out!! We finally coaxed her back to the other side. We were able to take a nice little hike while the dogs played it was really nice. Very nice amenities, they had little dog towels that we took advantage of. I was so impressed!!

FAQ about our Oregon City dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How can I find dog hiking trails in Oregon City?

How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
