Lots of room to run and sniff, multiple fenced paddocks to explore and a huge pond with a fountain in the middle, perfect for those dogs that love water. There's multiple seating areas around the property for humans that might want to sit and rest for a bit.
The property was super secure - we didn't worry about our pup escaping at all. Laurie sent us a very helpful written overview the night before our first visit and came out to say hi when we arrived to see if we had any questions. It was lovely to meet her.
Our dog is dog-reactive and this was a great spot for him. We didn't see or hear any other dogs during our visit. No humans either, aside from our introduction to Laurie at the beginning. I would recommend this spot for our more reactive canine friends.

55Loads of space for my little chiweenie to run full speed, he loved trying out the obstacle course. There was a family of geese hanging out near the pond but my dog largely ignored them or they avoided us! Easy to find & the directions provided give you ALL of the information you need. Mikayla S.

55A fabulous Sniffspot! We have added this to our list of favorites. The description is very accurate - the property consists of a number of interconnected horse pastures and the outer rim of the property is entirely fenced. The description indicates the fencing is 4 feet high but it appeared to me that most or all of it was closer to 5 feet. The entire property is very well manicured and very walkable, although there is one hilly pasture which would be great for wearing out a ball obsessed dog. Speaking of which, Labradors (and other water obsessed dogs) will adore this Sniffspot. It has two ponds - large enough to swim in and play the ever popular fetch. There are also a couple docks that would allow for any dock diving dogs to have a blast. We visited on a rainy day, but in the dry, warm weather the the ponds’ “beach front” areas will be a strong attraction for humans too as they can lounge in the provided Adirondack chairs. There is one additional water feature - a creek - at the back of the property too. Overall, it is a beautiful park like setting and my dog ran back and forth and all around the whole time we were there.
Laurie was a warm, welcoming host too. I received a message from her immediately upon making the reservation and I learned she has a reactive dog too. This made me feel comfortable from the start as she understands well the need for a private, secure place for reactive dogs. She kept hers inside and crated during our visit and we never even heard any barking. In addition, she has horses but keeps them securely in the barn during Sniffspot visits.
Overall, we had a blast and plan to come back often. Highly recommended for reactive dogs and all others. Thanks Laurie for sharing this property with the Sniffspot community!Bonnie B.

I was determined to return soon with our canine gang! The owner met us upon arrival and kindly oriented us to the area; we then headed off on our own excited to explore! Given the delightful layout of the natural wooded property with its trails and little bridges that traverse the hillside, our doggies were able to clamber and explore happily until they were good and tired (and a bit muddy!) The magical trails open up to various level meadows where the dogs could romp and chase each other freely (the snow patches provided a new experience for our pup!). Our hour flew past! We headed home with three tired happy dogs after a delightful time in nature! Thank you!Barbara T.

I was determined to return soon with our canine gang! The owner met us upon arrival and kindly oriented us to the area; we then headed off on our own excited to explore! The weather was sunny but cool with scattered snow still on the ground; the creek was running fairly high. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
