55Haley’s yard was the perfect puppy play location during a five hour road trip. The yard was beautifully maintained, great quality fencing, large enough for top notch zoomies and had wonderful, tall trees providing ample shade during a hot summer day. In addition to the perfect yard - they also brought out water and dog toys for my pup to enjoy - above and beyond service that was much appreciated. I can’t say enough great things about their private dog park. We’re already looking forward to re-booking during our next road trip.Jacqui B.

55Thank you for a great spot! My dog had a great time running around the yard, sniffing and marking. It was enjoyable for me to see him running around off the leash and having a great time. Thank you again!Jeanne L.

55Lots of room for the pup to run, exploring the trees and watching the horse in the next field over. Fresh water was available for him on a warm day, much appreciated. Fir P.

551st experience and it was a good one. Dogs had room to roam and sniff. Close to home for us, but not far from town either. Fully fenced, no other animals within reach. Horses were on site in a different field. Wish was a tad closer! A+++ and will rent here again 💯 %Cory N.

55We had a fantastic time at Richards Sniffspot! My two pups had the best time exploring and chasing each other.
There were a few gaps my escape artist of a dog could have gotten out of, but I was able to cover the spots with items that were around. Aneesah R.

55My dogs loved this sniffspot! Miss Molli loved the “canoe pool” and Ella-girl had a great time just rolling around. Molli did spot the horses, and I was worried about her going under the old gate that looks like it leads to their pin, but she’s very well trained with “leave it” (she has such a high prey drive that “leave it” is a necessity) but I just kept her away from that area and didn’t let her try to go under. Also, wasn’t sure how to latch the entrance gate? But I’m creative, so I jerry rigged a way to keep it closed. I will admit, there could have been a latch that I didn’t see, but my dogs were so excited to get off leash and smell the smells, that I didn’t look too hard for a latch. Overall, we had a great time! Thank you 🥰Haiden H.

55Very clean and the host was very friendly. I really liked the different fenced areas that made my dog have to do some thinking when we played fetch. Good place for my dogs to hear farm sounds too.susan e.

55Really a wonderful location with plenty of space to run and so many amazing sniffs. I am so appreciative, my pups can easily spend over an hour with their noses to the ground there!
Very easy to find and access. Its essentially a very large field filled with grasses and other natives growing freely. Towards the back of the property there are some larger trees and a lower area that collects water seasonally between the berry bushes. My impression is that it's only a couple inches deep, but my labrador can easily squeeze back there and plops on in with glee.
I can't comment on appropriateness for Reactive dogs. It's truely a rural location but there are cars on the streets and we have occasionally seen/heard a neighbor moving about on their property so it would depend on your dog's triggers. I haven't seen any other dogs or livestock along the immediate fence lines. The property is mostly fenced, however in some parts the fencing is just 2 or 3 strands of wire.

55Easy to find, beautiful field. Austin was responsive and helpful when contacted.
Land is mostly tall grass in an open field. Wear long pants. There’s a few trees near the back of the property with a low spot where water collects. Dogs can definitely squeeze in there to reach the water. I don’t think it’s very deep or clean.
This property is on a corner lot and there are cars on the roads on two sides of the property. The fence will not keep most dogs “in”, as most of it is two or three wires running along the property line. So be mindful of this if your dog doesn’t stay close, doesn’t listen, or tends to chase cars or bikes. Jessica N.

55I love this place because of what it has to offer. It’s remote but not too far away, large open farmland. After the field is cut it’s great to bring a ball and throw it around and just wander. The perimeter has barb wire fence. If your dog really wanted to get through it could but it’s pretty secure. Ira L.

55Wonderful large spot. Easy to find. Easy to park and stay a good distance away from the owner's house (we are a socially distanced household currently). Large field that was adequately maintained for a nice walk n run with the dogs. We'll be back!Melissa C.

55We had a wonderful time letting our young dog run in this field. He can really stretch his legs and go fast! Just FYI, he is a hunting dog and did happen to find the dead carcass of an animal. It is so nice to feel out in the country so close to the urban area. Thanks for a great experience! Jessica N.

55Great open field with good visibility and easy parking. Well-maintained and super chill spot. Fyi, there are goats in the field behind this one, and the barbed wire fence is not secure. If your dog is a chase-y moron like my pit bull, you might want to leash up near the back fence. Fortunately my dogs have excellent recall, so she didn't get sliced to ribbons trying to eat goat meat for dinner. Love this spot and will definitely be back!Lorenzo F.

FAQ about our Longview dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Longview area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 84 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 21 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
