The other field has 6 foot fence on all sides. Agility equipment is setup in one of the fields from April - December. Price is lowered during winter months since there is no agility equipment. NOTE we have had a few recent issues with folks being sent to the wrong location while using Apple Maps. If you are having trouble locating us we suggest using Waze or Google Maps as an alternative. The driveway is well marked with Sniffspot signs. Fully fenced, lightly wooded yard, about an acre. Paths around perimeter and throughout. Barn with kennels in case you need to separate dogs or get in out of the weather. Plenty of shade. The property contains many boulders, tree stumps, logs and leaves for your dog to explore, and lots of room to run. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and watch your step. There may be roots, rocks, holes or the occasional poop hiding under the leaves. Several of our guests have seen deer on the path to the SniffSpot gate. We strongly recommend keeping your dogs leashed until you are safely inside the fenced area.

Come and play in Sammy’s Playground. There’s lots to do. With the entire 0.5-acre backyard fully enclosed by a new and secure chain-link fence (Fall 2022), your pups are free to roam, sniff, fetch and run to their hearts’ delight. And, wow… you are surely going to love watching them go!! Zoom-Zoom. The areas along the perimeter are wooded and make for fun pathways for explorations. The central portion of the yard is sloped and open. This makes for plenty of romping and heavy-duty running- including long throws of a ball or a frisbee. We have a tennis ball thrower. Check out all of the photos and read the accompanying descriptions to get a better idea of how Sammy’s Playground will appeal to you and your furry friends!! And don’t worry about the yard (too much). There’s divots and mounds all around, no manicured lawns when dogs are at play. Go for it guys… Enjoy!! And, the pool cover is elephant and dog proof. The dogs are allowed on the pool cover. It’s our hope that we do our absolute best to provide our Guests with the best experience each time they come over AND that our Guests remain as great as each have been - that we can continue to avoid any reason to raise our hourly rate. SniffSpot suggests we list Sammy’s Playground at $20/hour. We are uncomfortable with doing this, because it goes against the spirit of our objective for Sammy’s Playground in the first place: providing a safe and secure environment for dogs of all kinds to enjoy off-leash “true-dog” experiences with their loving humans. Barking IS allowed. We do welcome donations of dog food, p-pads and medications for the all-dog rescue organization, PAWS New England. PawsNewEngland.com for information about fostering, donating, adopting or other ways to support this amazing group. They save over 1,000 dogs per year. ——- NOTE: to open the gate, simply reach over the top to find the key. Twist/turn the key until it stops. Then, lift the knob on top of the gate and push the gate open… you’re in! The gate automatically closes behind you. Please confirm that it has engaged into the closed position and then turn the key to lock yourself in. DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY. Confirm that you have locked yourself in by seeing the little red dot and not being able to lift the knob. The photos section includes views of the gate, key and lock. MUST: when you leave, lock the gate. Doubly ensure that you have done so by lifting the knob. NOTE: As an “Extra” listed benefit, you may park your vehicle in an area away from the main gate and take advantage of a leisurely stroll down the very-well-kept sidewalks of Park Street and adjoining neighborhoods. We list this as an Extra simply so that we know why we have a car in the driveway, but no humans and dogs in the yard. Selecting this Extra just gives us the heads up. This might be a good way to burn off that last little bit of doggy energy or for some leash training while you’re here. This is time AFTER your booked time of using Sammy’s Playground (not a part of it). We just don’t want you to run off without taking advantage of all the resources available to you for your dog(s).

DOG PARK RULES & REGULATIONS 1. The off-leash dog area is for dogs, their handlers, and those accompanying them. No other use is allowed. Dogs are the only animals permitted in the areas. 2. For the safety of your child, children under the age of 16 years old are not allowed inside the off-leash dog area. 3. All dogs must be legally licensed and vaccinated and shall wear a visible dog license. 4. Dogs under 4 months of age, and female dogs in heat, are prohibited. 5. Dogs must be on a regular leash when entering and leaving the off-leash area. No retractable flexi leads or muzzles are allowed. 6. Dogs must wear collars while in the dog area. Spiked collars (with spikes protruding from the collar) are prohibited, prong or pinch collars are allowed. 7. Dogs must be under the control of their handler, and in view of their handler at all times. 8. Handlers must be 16 years of age or older and are limited to a maximum of two dogs. 9. All handlers must carry a regular dog leash at all times. 10. Handlers are responsible for the removal and sanitary disposal of dog waste. Disposal bags and trash receptacles are provided. 11. Handlers are responsible for filling any holes dug by their dogs. 12. Handlers are responsible for any injuries caused by the dog(s) under their control. 13. Dogs must be removed from the off-leash dog area at the first sign of aggression toward other dogs or people. 14. Dog Owners are responsible for supervising their dogs while at the park, and do not allow barking to become excessive. While we understand that dogs will bark, we need to be considerate of our neighbors. 15. Dogs cannot be fed while in the dog park enclosed area, this includes training treats. 16. No food or glass containers are allowed in the dog park enclosure. 17. Please use the proper trash or recycling receptacles. As per park regulations, smoking, alcohol, and fires are not allowed. 18. Dog park hours of operation follow the Dartmouth Regional Parks and Trails facility hours. Park capacity: 12 dogs; if the park is at capacity, please limit use to 30 minutes. Users of this facility do so at their own risk. The Town of Dartmouth and the Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group (DDAWG) shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog, or its owner.
