Rent safe and private dog fields hosted by locals in Smith River, California

What a great place for the dogs and humans to play! The pups ran and played hard, and enjoyed meeting the horses and Bella, the gracious host Rick’s sweet dog. Rick met us, made us at ease and made great conversation. He even let us borrow a blanket to put in our car for the ride home as the dogs were a bit muddy from wading around the small pond. Happy and exhausted dogs. We will be back. 

Beautiful property, super friendly hosts and great location. Our dogs loved this spot with all the room to run, pond to get dirty in and so many things to smell (critters, horses). We will be back! 

Wonderful people and very accommodating.  Beautiful property with the bonus of horses.  Our pups have never been around horses so they were super accommodating in working without pups in introducing them to horses. 

Amazing property with really welcoming and friendly owners and lots of land for your pup to explore and feel wild and free! Our dogs favorite part was the little pond. Would highly recommend, your dog is going to love you for this! 

Great spot for my sighthounds to run like the wind!  Great hosts. Very nice experience and plan to return soon.

Great hosts and property. Wore my dog out from running. Might bring lawn chairs to sit on in the shade while your baby explores. Great for the dog and people now that you have to social distance. Just a lovely alternative to keep everyone happy and outdoors.

Rick and family were very gracious in hosting my dog Padme and I. Zoey was particularly gracious and fun, remaining with us during our stay. With 4 acres there’s plenty of room to run and play. My dog ran and played for an hour with Zoey’s dog and they had a great time together. 

What great fun! Rick and Lynn were welcoming and their daughter Zoe was really charming.  Their dog Bella played chase with our dog for almost the entire time we were there, running non-stop!  Our other dog was off by himself as he tends to do, exploring the many sniff and noodle around options.  It's a perfect ramble place for dogs!  We'll be back!

5/8/2020: Visited "Run Sniff Run" today. Wonderful experience. Very Friendly owners, and property is perfect for free running pets. Our dogs played with Bella (owners pet) which made this experience even more fun. It was a nice way for our 7 month old pup to play with other dogs. Home now dogs bathed and having an afternoon cocktail with happy sleeping dogs. Ahhhh, will definitely do this again!

A fully fenced, large space with lots of interesting sniffs with large trees that will provide great shade on hot days, logs and a small pond. Hosts were very kind and accommodating of our dog’s needs and kept horses and their dog out of the area. Also kind enough to let us know that the space was a little muddy (lots of rain, days prior to visit) so that we could come prepared 

Our dog had tons of fun! He loved getting to run around with Bella and we enjoyed getting to talk with the hosts. We will definitely be returning for more fun. Dare would like to add his favorite part was the pond and mud puddle.

What an amazing spot! Rick and his family were so welcoming to my dog and I. Rick showed me around and gave me a lay of the land. My dog had a wonderful time running on the acreage and really enjoyed playing with their dog. He is usually pretty timid but they had a great time together! Will be coming back many times over!!!

The hosts came out to greet us, very friendly and showed us around a little before we went out on their 4 acre land. We had two friends meet up with us with their golden so our dogs could run together. The host's dog, Bella, warmly welcomed our dogs to her huge yard that she's so happy to share with our dogs - Lets go Play! So off they went running. Lucy enjoys new things and she was very curious of horses. It rained for a week before our visit, so everything was pretty muddy. Our dogs loved it though. They rolled in manure and ran in the mud, swam in the pond, sniffed through all the tall grass, climbed on the wood laying around, played soccer with Bella... all the fun adventures. Rick was very nice company. He offered and helped hose our muddy dogs off before getting in the car. We told him we would definitely be back. We do not care if we got a dirty dog. Lucy was SO HAPPY! She has been sleeping all day after her bath.

This is hands down our dogs favorite place in the world. And with their generosity and kindness, the hosts make it a great place for the people as well. ❤️ 

Our new doggo had a great time just being a dog and running free in this space. He got to meet a horse (separated by a fence--visual, auditory, olfactory introduction) and roll in manure, what could be better!

As usual, my pups are euphoric and have a blast at the Farm as we call it. Lynn, Rick, and Zoey are wonderful hosts. My dogs are exhausted after an hour of none stop romping and playing in the small spring pond.  

Rick and his entire family could not be more welcoming, and their property is incredible. Their dog Bella was an excellent host - she was super friendly and wore our energy-filled dogs out exploring the huge pasture. We will definitely be returning! 

We loved this place! The hosts were super nice and welcoming. (Our pups didn’t want them to leave!) The land is big...a big ol field through the trees...and it was perfect! It was relaxing and nice to have a private area for our guys who aren’t as social with other dogs. Thank you guys! We’ll be back! 

We loved it both the dogs and the humans. Great space, 2 yellow labs loved it. Got to run and be dogs and get muddy.  It was great. Rick was friendly and helpful to us first timers 

Our dog had a blast and Rick was very helpful and nice. It's great to be able to access such a lovely fenced-in spot in the country and to give our dog a new experience. Having Rick's dog Bella to run with and meeting horses for the first time were also pluses. Appreciated being able to hose her off after a romp in the pond.
