55A couple weeks ago I moved from 20 acres in the hill country to an apartment in town. While my dogs transitioned surprisingly well, I could tell they missed running around outside all day. A lot of space, safe fence. A lot of cute touches and a lot of places where you can just relax (sun or shade as you wish) while your dogs running like crazy.

55Nice spot with clean restrooms, water for the dogs, and even toys for them to play with as well as plenty of shaded seating for the humans. I took all three of mine. My shepherd (whom I am working with on a lot of things) didn’t want to leave at the last minute. Aaargh. But good visit. Cara C.

This is a really nice quiet area! I reserve the place for my dog & my dogs dad who isn’t pet or people friendly which was absolutely perfect because it was just us and we didn’t have to worry about anyone else! They were able to run around and explore without us worrying about them going to the street since it’s gated. We will definitely be back!

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
