55Such a great little park! Perfect size, very clean, cool little agility area, tables and chairs to hangout, secure fencing! Brought my reactive dog and my boyfriends dog here to introduce them in a neutral space and they had so much fun and got along great! We loved it! My dog did fall through the ice of the creek while trying to get a drink but it was less then a foot deep, but definitely something dog owners need to be careful of if your dogs aren’t so smart… like mine haha. It can also get muddy in some spots so my dog often needs a little towel off at the end. In the spring/summer they have a hose area where you can hose off your dog if you wish. 55Great location! Beautiful meadow, easy to find and lots of good sniffs for my pup. There was a good amount of horse manure in the field, not an issue for my dog but if you've got a pup that likes to eat/roll in it just a heads up! There were also a few really nice barn cats that were watching us in the field, my pup was a bit distracted by wanting to say hello to them, and when she finally did they were lovely and just touched noses (just know it's partial fencing so you'll need good recall if your pup tries to chase cats). Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks.
