Welcome to 50 acres of puppy heaven! Located off Crittenden Road in Suffolk, Virginia. Please take dirt lane, there is no house. Please do not disturb neighbors. Drive or Walk through the gate and the whole area is yours! There are walking trails in the woods, a pond to find and a river to explore. The open field is wonderful for training and or play. Your dog will love exploring this wonderful property. ***This is the country. The land is wonderful to explore but it is vacant and undeveloped. You will encounter nature, really in the spring and summer. There are ticks, snakes, uneven ground, rabbits, wet spots, etc. Please only book if you are used to the outdoors and being adventurous!*** Update from my guests comments: Wear bug spray when it’s warm, check for ticks after a visit, boots are recommended after rainy days, dogs may get muddy bring towels and look for the new mailbox to identify the dirt lane off the road. We used a non-toxic dye in ponds in early March to give shade for the large Koi. It helps protect them from the blue herring until the summer grass comes in. It has almost completely faded, and it’s safe for fish plants, domestic and wildlife just a little heads up. our grandchildren swim in it. So feel safe.

All amenities are available if guests inquire about prior to arrival. I will leave them at the access point, and kindly ask to be placed back after visits. Large field with plenty of space to run around to get your pups energy out. We allow farmers to farm this field during the seasons, so during certain times, this location may be closed to avoid crops being destroyed, or pets to be exposed to any potential pesticides ( please note that our farmers do not use typical pesticides due to our horses being in close proximity) We have a wooded area that is able to be accessed if acquired about prior to visits, and if able to accommodate at the time as the woods are closer to our horse pastures, and home, so it will have to be prearranged. The woods have a trail that is quite extensive, but please keep in mind during warmer months that it is likely you can encounter snakes in that area. We also have swamp areas in the woods, which is nice to watch the birds and turtles in their natural habitats. The field is flat landscape, and is perfect to throw frisbees, tennis balls, etc with your dog. Cool spot to let your dogs run around! So much space to explore. We found the pond on our second trip, but did not look like one I wanted to let my dogs swim in right now. Did not matter because we enjoyed walking the trails. Definitely recommend bringing bug spray - I forgot it the first time and had to keep moving or I'd get swarmed. Other than that, really sweet spot! Beautiful sunsets, too!

Had a great afternoon on first time exploration of this expansive jewel of a location. Our two dogs enjoyed their time. It reminds them of hiking trails while camping without distractions and the feeling you are alone in the world. We plan on returning in the fall winter months to exercise. Gumbo’s first sniff spot adventure was a success! Katie was so communicative leading up to our visit and we had no issues with the arrival. Grasses in the main meadow/field are shin-knee high this time of year so wear pants and long socks! There is a nice main trail leading towards the woods that was easy to follow. Found the picnic table and enjoyed roaming through the forested section around there. Eager to go back in wintertime when the grasses are a tad shorter. Wonderful spot with a nice mix of terrain! So quiet and tranquil - our only companions were a couple birds! Thank you!

Spot has improved!!! They cut down all the growth in the field that sprouted up in the spring and summer and there’s tons of open field area for the pups to run their hearts out. Tons of wooded area to navigate through with pretty manageable terrain in the outer edges. Two ponds you may want to avoid that are murky wetland, but otherwise this spot checks all the boxes for a good time for working breed dogs like mine (GSP, Doberman) to empty the gas tank. We had such a fun adventure! We loved it. We live in the hustle and bustle of the city, so we absolutely loved being able step out and enjoy nature. Finley really enjoyed the freedom in running around and exploring. The area was beautiful, clean, easy to walk around, and the paths were great!
