55This spot was amazing! It had a nice path to use to walk around and that view of hood is an extra bonus. A nice quiet spot for the pup to work on recall and explore without distractions other than the environment. Will definitely be back! Ambra R.

55Oh My Dog!!! This place is amazing! 😍 Seriously, we spent an hour and it was not enough time. It’s like a private place to hike with all sorts of goodies! The creek was awesome the trails were great.
Do wear boots & expect your dog to get muddy. They even have a hose to rinse off at the end. We didn’t use it since we had to get somewhere else.
The dogs had so much fun! The people got exercise too climbing the back hill.
It took us 45 minutes to get there from SW PDX - TOTALLY WORTH IT!
We can’t sit to go back for a longer visit!

55This is a great property with trails, wooded areas and a creek. We could hear another dog barking next door but didn’t see it. There are cows in the field next door which our dog wasn’t bothered by at all. Christina was so kind, very accommodating of my messages prior and during visit, has also generously provided a hose pipe for use which was great to hose down paws after muddy trails, it’s winter in Oregon - mud to be expected :) Overall we really enjoyed it and hope to come back. 55This is dog walking heaven! Acres and acres of trails, a robust creek, tall grass for scent games and retrieve training, secluded, quiet. Stress free off leash time! The host even gives you a trail map 🤩 We will be back for sure. Lorenzo F.

552nd visit, as wonderful as the first. Our dog loves it here - gets to run and enjoy water. Boots are a must but it’s Oregon in winter, so mud is to be expected, there’s a hose generously provided to hose off muddy paws before you get back in car. We look forward to coming back.Stephanie D.

55Second time visiting in one week - that’s how awesome this sniff spot is to me & my dogs! Yes, it’s 45 minutes from SW Portland and YES it’s worth it. Once again I regret not booking for more than an hour, but schedules wouldn’t allow.
Today was actually less muddy than last time but I still was glad I had high boots and the white dog in a jacket with belly coverage.
The map was new & awesome. The downed tree made a fun jump for the dogs.
We’ll be back soon! Sara M.

55This place is great! Lots of space to explore - the paths are great and make it easy to get around the property. There are cows and horses but the grass was tall enough our dog didnt see them. The creeks is fun and easy to access. We'll be back again. Callie L.

55Our first time here and our pups loved it! We ended up extending our time because an hour wasn’t enough! My dogs loved playing in the water and exploring all the trails. I have a reactive dog and it was nice to have so much land to roam around and not worry about other dogs. We’ll be back!Lindsey A.

55What an amazing sniffspot experience! So many trails and things to explore for humans and dogs! You can truly get away out here with no distractions. We love to hike and this felt just like a hike out in the forest with out the anxiety of other people or dogs around. Perfect place for all dogs to get their zoomies and sniffs out. Trails, rivers, mud, you name it. We will definitely be back!Summer B.

55The most amazing sniff spot ever!!! My dog loves being off leash in nature, but not around other dogs or people or other stimulating stuff in general. This property has everything he needed to decompress from the stresses of city life and just be a happy go lucky dog. We booked 2.5 hours and loved every minute! Seriously the best!!!Andrea P.

55What a great spot! Lots of trails to run and areas to explore, plus a little creek if your pup likes to take a dip. There is a picnic table at the top of the hill where you can watch your dog play, or have a snack. We'll definitely be back!Erin F.

55Couldn't ask for a better spot. Every amenity for the pups you could ask in a super clean, secure, and well laid out environment. We were very confident with our reactive pup in these double gated yards with plenty of training opportunities. We started in the back trails to get out our zoomies, and ended in the manicured side yard with toys and agility games. Excellent experience. Lyndsie B.

55This space is great and certainly made with dogs in mond. Very well maintained and fully fenced for the yard and the trails. Felt very safe for my dog. Highly recommend! There are sounds of dogs and chickens but we could see dogs from the trails at a distance but only for a few moments and they were called inside before it was time for us to head back to the car. Thanks for making this place available to us! It was really great!Callie L.

55It is a great place for dogs & humans. Everything I needed was there. Toys, garbage can, towels (all were wet & dirty today but it has rained all day so not surprising), and most important lots of space to roam and explore. Thank you for providing a super place for my dog to run and play! We will be back.Linda G.

55Fantastic location! The fenced trails are meandering and the space is large enough to get a nice little hike in and practice long-distance recall with your dogs. The fencing is thorough, which I really appreciate for my small dog who enjoys hunting. I didn’t spend one second worried about my dogs getting out. My puppers and I had a great time! Wendy L.

55Great Spot, lots of space, nice trails with room to run, and even a little stream. Dog reactive dogs may need a different spot as you will likely see other pups in the first area, but for everyone else, this is a sweet Sniffspot! Verena S.

FAQ about our Aurora dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
