55What a wonderful spot! We kept our dogs on a long leash as they don't have good recall, but the paths were plenty wide and clear enough for them to explore. Beautiful views of Mt Hood and a creek that our dogs enjoyed too. We will definitely be back! Cristina S.

55Amazing - 10 stars! The trails were clear and some were steep which was great to tire out my active dogs. The fire pit area had an open area where we sat while the dogs wrestled around. They loved splashing around in the creek. A fabulous place for a dog reactive pup who loves trails and playing in rivers to play off leash without a care. Directions were clear and the hose and towels to wash off were a great plus!!becca n.

55Beautiful location. We had an evening time slot so we got the added benefit of enjoying the spectacular star views. The trails are fun, decorated with statue art that added fun things to search for along the way. Ultimately we ended up learning that our husky doesn’t have good enough recall to handle off leash at this location. She saw a deer and took off out of site for awhile. We were afraid we had lost her but she eventually came back. When we return we will do a long line adventure instead of off leash. Other than that little scare we had a great time. Kristy S.

55Ahhhh... this spot is EXACTLY what I needed and have been looking for! Since the big fires all our forests have been closed for cleanup, and I have really missed wandering in them. This spot has open areas, more forested areas, and a lovely little creek for pooch refreshment. The trails are still being developed, but the property isn't so big you would get lost or turned around or anything (and they give you a map- though I found it more helpful to just look around!). I went in the morning and had a beautiful view of Mt. Hood from the top of the hill- my dog chewed ALL the sticks and had SO much fun romping around! We will for sure be back to this one many times, and feel very grateful the owners choose to share their property!
As others have said: trail map, water, toys, hose to wash off... all provided. Awesome!Jessie K.

55Very nice time! great trails with a creek to play in. Charming statues and decoration (my dog was scared of them, but he won’t be next time). I’m not great with maps, so colored flags marking trails would be helpful, but it wasn’t hard to get around and keep the house in sight. We also really appreciated the bin with a towel!!Lydia J.

55This is an absolutely wonderful place for your dog. It has a creek for wading, forest paths, and hills to climb. For first timers, the map has no compass orientation, so the trails can be hard to find. Turn left when facing the house and go up the little gravel trail. The trails, complete with statuary, will be on your right.Becky T.

55This is our second time at this Sniffspot and we will DEFINITELY continue coming back. There’s just so much to explore, so much room for my Aussie to run & get his energy out. Not to mention how much loves the little creek. It’s by far our favorite place to adventure! Victoria S.

55Large outdoorsy space, partly wooded but mostly open to the sky, nestled between two farms in the distance. The trails are dirt and well defined, with quirky outdoor art in unexpected places. The shallow creek offers safe doggie splashing and wading this time of year (late spring). On hot days keep in mind that due to extensive logging the majority of the land, including the long loop trail, sits in full sun. That grows lots wildflowers, though, and offers an awesome view of Mt Hood! We appreciated the easy-to-find parking area, waste station, toy/towel box, outhouse (the cleanest ever) and printed maps of the property (next to the small shed). It would be hard to get lost out here, though, because the trails loop around and you can almost always spot the house in the distance. But you could easily get lost in your own thoughts sitting on a bench or fallen log enjoying the smell of fir trees, the sound of the bubbling brook, and the joy on your pup’s face.Paige W.

55This spot continues to be a wonderful place to walk our dog, and the addition of amenities such as waste stations at different points on the property is super convenient. The wooded areas near the creek provide shade and a nice opportunity to cool down on a hot day.
I'd recommend having a rock solid recall if you let your dog off-leash, as there's plenty of wildlife about (we saw deer and bunnies today), and the neighbors do have livestock. Our dog has a somewhat strong prey drive and her ability to recall off distractions is a work in progress, so we opt for a 50 foot lead, which I highly recommend.
Looking forward to returning here throughout the summer and beyond!Patrick B.

FAQ about our Aurora dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
