55Jeff is a very welcoming host and assisted us on parking and getting familiar with his absolute beautiful property. You access the property through a main driveway gate, which was open when we arrived. Jeff met us immediately as we approached his house. He does have 3 dogs, which were inside the house, but never barked. There is also a cat outside that we never saw and our dog never picked up on it either. The fencing is new and encloses the property on 3 sides, with the 4th side/boarder being a very nice creek. There is an electric wire type border that runs along the creek edge. The creek is accessible via some really nice study stairs, and Jeff explains how to access those. Water is provided, but do bring your own doggie poo bags and toys. Our big boy Boxer absolutely loved the area and ran and explored to his hearts content. We enjoyed the country drive and views on this late afternoon adventure. Jeff's place is not far from the Golden & Siver Falls State Natural Area, which is another great spot to visited. We highly recommended you check out Jeff's Private Sniffspot. We will be returning for sure.David S.

55Great spot! Totally worth a brief detour off 101. It was clean, secure, quiet; perfect for our dogs to stretch their legs and chase around a bit. During our visit there was no shade but as it was chilly that was all the better. A hose is available and we were aware we would have to bring our own bowl, which we did.
All in all a terrific visit and we will be back. Amy W.

55Great spot to let the dogs play. The fencing was super super super secure! My pups have escaped from the majority of sniff spots that say they have secure fencing and there was no way they were getting out of this one. Yard very clean be prepared as it does get windy so dress warm even in summer. The yard is all nice grass so even with the wind you don’t need to worry about anything blowing. My pups loved the wind as it kept them cool while playing. The tug pole was fun as my pups have never played with one. We will be back. Parking was super easy and you can see your car from the spot. The road has low traffic, during our time two people walked by and my reactive dogs did bark but no one seemed to care. The fence is amazing for those with dogs who can go under or over the fence this one is escape proof! Morgan S.

55Clean, mowed, well-cared for. Just big enough for us to wear our our shepherd with zoomies. Great, very secure fencing so we did not have to worry at all. The toys/playthings in some of the pictures were not out (explained in a message from owner as out of concern for preventing infectious disease transmission) but still a good spot for sniffing, playing, and running.Blair B.

55Another fantastic visit! If you are from out of town this spot is the perfect stop on your way out to see all the beautiful attractions like sunset beach, shore acres, etc. literally one house of the main road adds zero time to your travels and gives a great spot to get the zoomies out before they have to be on leash or wait in the car as not all the attractions are dog friendly. My pups love the new toys! Today I brought a blanket and had a picnic while my dogs played in the safe fun yard. Highly recommend!! Morgan S.

55We loved the Doggie & Me Activity Park!
Despite the heavy drizzly weather, and our not understanding how to open the coded entry gate. After calling the park owners, they arrived within minutes to help us gain entry. It was our misunderstanding and not the lock mechanism. Sue, the owner, told us we can stay longer than the scheduled appointment time to make up for the lost time. She evened offered us an umbrella. The park itself was well secured and in great shape, with a lush lawn and a great area for having a picnic that is separated by fencing from the main park area. We will be returning for sure.David S.

55The fencing was very secure and very clean. We had 5 small dogs, and they had plenty of room to run. Easy location to find. Bags and hand sanitizer available. Very nice.Teresa F.

55So happy to find this spot! It’s clean, green, and big enough to tire my pups out throwing the ball for them! It’s conveniently located and fenced perfectly! The lower fenced area allows me to see the neighborhood too(my pup is fear-reactive… lots of triggers so this was perfect!) I have had to arrange daycare for my dogs when I have a trip to Coos Bay… now I can bring them with me, knowing I have a safe place to exercise them during the day. Eileen S.

FAQ about our Coos Bay dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 92% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Coos Bay area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 9 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
