Hi, I’m Monet, and this is Happy Tails Farm! We’re all about enjoying life with animals, especially dogs (and chickens :)! The farm is on 15 scenic acres, located just outside of Eugene. We're easily accessed via Fox Hollow, Chambers, or Bailey Hill. Our property has a 3 acre Fully Fenced & mowed private dog park with a view of Spencers Butte! There's some fun stuff out there including giant tractor tires, a straw bale structure (Pumpkin Parkour!), jumps and an agility tunnel. We're always looking for new ideas and love requests! We also have 7+ acres of Partially Fenced nature area with trails, including forest and fields. We recommend keeping your dog on leash while exploring the trails, as the property is not 100% fenced and there can be deer roaming as well! This area is huge and is a very exciting work in progress.

There are a couple of spots along the fence line that have openings at the bottom or gaps. Also, damage from the ice storm caused some damage to the property line fencing. See photos. FRONT PASTURE IS CLOSED. Unfortunately, it is not handicapped accessible. Gopher, mole, and dog holes are to be expected. Mud during the rainy season. Sheep keep pastures trimmed and fertilized.

As winter approaches and post- icepocolyps logging winds down, I would like to test a pricing option. For the winter months, at least, I am going to offer sliding scale discounts. The guest can choose their pay rate for sanctuary use based on their moment-to-moment economic status. Discounts are as follows: $2 off (JMSS2); $4 off (JMSS4); $6 off (JMSS6). Enter the discount code (in parentheses) for your desired discount. Just as a reminder, or for new inquiries, the effort and cost to recover/rebuild Jasper Memorial Sanctuary was extensive and expensive. Material costs were over $5000. Labor costs, had I hired all the hours worked, are over $15,000. The price increase for utilizing the Sanctuary is small in comparison to the expenses incurred from the loss (0.1%). Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS/RESTORATION: Approximately 80 damaged/downed trees removed. 40 uprooted stumps ground out 340' of new 5' fencing installed 140' fencing repaired New entrance gate/location created 100s perhaps 1000s of poison oak dug out (it's still present, just fewer) Culvert installed at entrance with gravel path to gate (pending) New signs installed A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location only. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone and the preservation of the environment. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled. Jasper Memorial Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 1.3 acres in and fully fenced. The acreage is a combination of mid-age dense timber, new reforestation, devastation zone and open grass. The area is flanked on two sides by driveway. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀. Be respectful of wildlife. Deer and turkey roam the property and consider the space their home. If there are wild animals in the sanctuary enclosure upon your arrival, please keep your dog(s) on leash until the other animals have vacated the area. Under no circumstance are dogs allowed to chase wildlife. Domestic and rescued animals that live on the property include horses, donkeys, geese and chickens. 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 and do not approach any of these animals. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 is about 50' away from the entrance gate. Please keep dog(s) on leash until within the fenced enclosure. 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 - If you have reason to have more than two vehicles for your visit, please contact me prior to reserving for pre-approval. If approved, there will be an "Extra" fee to add to your reservation. Please select the appropriate "Extra" for the number of vehicles approved. A 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 are available near parking area at the corner of the barn. There are also two to three 2-gallon water buckets in the dog sanctuary area. I will rinse and fill in the morning, feel free to refresh them at the spigot at barn throughout the day. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, three chairs and a small folding table are available at the site. They may be folded and leaning against a tree during the rainy season. A 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗽 𝗯𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 has been added. Please limit to poop. I have no garbage service at the farm, I am the garbage service. Expect to encounter poop from turkeys and deer. While the presence of coyote, fox, bobcat and cougar is rare, you might see the poop of these animals as well. Janet is a very thoughtful host. There’s a fresh drinking bucket, hose, and beach towels if your dog gets muddy. There was a tub of toys that my dog got to pick out a toy (ball always) to play with. There were also agility jumps, so we tried them for the first time ever. The property was nice and open, very peaceful and quiet. There’s a few sections of forest to walk through as well, so it feels like a lot of different ecosystems going on to explore and amazing smells! We will definitely be back!

Janet goes above and beyond for people and pups. She even has dog towels at the ready for rainy days that she washes on her own for us. So grateful for this gracious and attentive host! Today I was able to take my New family member who I rescued 4 1/2 months ago and have been training. This property is dog Heaven! Seven wonderful acres, fully fenced -- a little bit of woods and mostly field -- lots to explore! My three dogs absolutely loved it. I met Janet and she was so kind and welcoming. She has a bucket of toys and a picnic table in the area and made sure I knew where dog towels were (if my dogs got muddy) and the water spigot if they needed water. Such a GREAT place! We had so much fun at this gorgeous and huge property. Janet is very kind and met with us beforehand to give us the lowdown of their spot. Our dogs had a blast wrestling and running in the pasture. Trying out the agility course with two excited dogs was hilarious. The bucket of toys was a plus! When they weren’t tumbling around together, they were enjoying the smells and views of the little sheep on the other side of the fence. It just rained the day before but there honestly wasn’t that much mud. 10/10 first sniff spot experience!

The dogs and I had a great time at the Crewel/Pleasant Hill property and will happily make it a regular outing. The owner, Janet, was so kind and welcoming. The property itself is well maintained and easy to negotiate. The dogs loved the agility equipment and I was grateful for the box of toys that were available since I forgot my Chuck-It! The dogs ran for a solid hour and are now asleep. Hooray!

Blissful! If I had to choose one word. Amazing area, fabulous terrain and a great variety of things to do. There is a wide open are if needing to work with a long line, then the tress are spaced apart for my pup to weave through them. The areas where the fence is weak, is marked with the orange fencing stuff. Super helpful so I could redirect my pup. Janet was a pleasure to meet. I really appreciate her taking her time to meet us and show us around. The pièce de résistance (the cherry on top!) is that in the toy box is a first aid doggy kit.

You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
