Mookie's Magic Meadows

Hello I am Mookie, a Golden Doodle who loves to play ball and my Human is Grace. She got me this place with a long yard, perfect for playing with a chuck it! I begged for a pug and she let me have Frankie. We are happy to share our yards which have different areas for different Dog needs. Human needs can be taken care of too. We are starting out, but expect to make it a lot more fun as the weather improves. Frankie and I will not be coming out to visit your dogs, but once you leave we will enjoy learning about them on our scent hunt. We believe this will create a lot of interest and fun for us and for your special family members too. We now have a place for your humans to wash you when you leave the sniffspot area. It is currently set up with kiddie pool, shower head and hose, with lavender wipes as well. Hand sanitizer now available for humans to use. In the summer, there will be lots of water and hoses available for getting water and there will be bowls too! This is a place for fun , everything is not perfect yet, but the yard is a lot of fun for Frankie and also for me! We love to explore and sometimes we see deer here and other wild animals! Come VIsit us at Mookie's Magic Meadows for a Magically fun time! UPDATE: Storm damage has been repaired. All fences are secure. There is a shade canopy which will protect from the rain and some chairs to relax in. You may encounter holes because dogs love to dig in the soft turf and the hill of dirt, please let me know if you find some that I have not gotten filled between visits and I will fix that! The vehicle on the site is a Continental Rocket trailer that is going to be refurbished. I have been asked if someone lives in it and the answer is NO! It is not ready for that yet! With so many trees, there are piles of branches that were picked up after the storm that have not been burned yet. Debris will be disappearing as time permits. None of the debris is dangerous to your dogs, or you! PLEASE NOTE: If your ball or other toys go over the fence, they now belong to my neighbor! PLEASE You must not go over the fence to get them!! I have other balls and will be happy for you to use them while here, if they go over, I can deal with him later! Thank you for your consideration of my neighbors. Please take pictures of your beautiful happy dogs and share here! Let's make other dogs and humans know there is a safe place to play! Thank you and we look forward to making dogs happy so that they can live their best lives! Additional note. WE have two safe yards (Never booked at the same time) completely fenced. The entry is also securely fenced. Your action of closing the gate upon entry and exit keep all dogs safe. Thank you all for your consideration!

Everything is always great when we come here we need room to work out high drive dog and this place is beautiful and spacious.
Brita Z.
June 2022
Beautifully tranquil location with a long lawn and shallow wooded areas to romp around in. Elton particularly enjoyed the variety of different features to sniff in, like dense vegetation, wood piles, logs, and a little creek. Looking forward to returning! I will 100% recommend that you keep your dog on leash when arriving. The road is fairly heavily trafficked and is curved so it's not easy to see cars coming and going so keep them close!
Jasmyne C.
June 2022
This was our first Sniffspot location and it was perfect! A large open field that was fenced and tucked enough to let the pups loose to run and sniff all the new smells. As this is very close to home, we can see ourselves returning for another visit in the future! Thank you so much 😊

July 2022
Really nice, well-kept yard. Easy to find. When visiting in the summer, wear bug spray -- mosquitos also enjoy the shady, grassy area. Perfect spot when it's an extremely hot day.

Nice meadow and wooded area for dogs to sniff and play. Only downside is the the lack of fencing by a busy road in case your dog chased something.
Joanie Q.
July 2022
As per other reviews, the property is not completely fenced in but oh boy, so many things to sniff! I don't think my dog's nose has ever been happier! The only thing I would like different is if there could have been bags on site and maybe there were and I just didn't see them.
Amber M.
July 2022
Great spot for running around and fetch! Would not recommend if you do not yet have reliable recall as they can get to the street or across the creek fairly easily if so inclined.
Jenn B.
August 2022
Fabulous spot to run, play and work your dog. Nicely manicured open spaces and woodsy areas to explore. Always one of Xander’s favorite places to go. Thank you Gaylene for sharing!!

February 2023
Thank you for sharing your space! It was perfect for my apartment pups. Gaylene did a perfect job of describing the spot so I knew what to expect. The lack fencing wasn’t an issue for us at all, and as long as your pups have good recall, keeping them in the right area is super easy. My dogs had a blast and we definitely will be back!

The area is secluded and welcoming. A long green field and fallen trees that make a good seat. A really nice piece of land to run your dog just outside the city.

Beautiful spot with lots of space! Not fenced but very secluded and felt very safe here with my reactive dog. Will definitely come back! Would be great if there was a rubbish bin somewhere on the property

I am someone who is super last minute when it comes to booking sniffspots. Lucky for me, the owner was very quick to respond to my booking. Within 5 mins of my booking, she let me know that the recent storm have affected the spot, so there may be contractors around today. Other than the sounds of chainsaws (which was a perfect opportunity for working on his noise desensitization), it was a very well kept spot. My pup enjoyed chasing his frisbee, sniffing and we practiced recalls in the space. It was just perfect! The instructions to park was easy to follow, and the entrance was marked clearly. My pup and I will definitely be back!

FAQ about our Portland dog fields

Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
How can I find dog fields in Portland?
There are 70 dog fields in the Portland area. The most popular dog field is Jade's 0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Portland. You can browse all of our dog fields here.
How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
