55We had such an amazing time on this gorgeous property. We packed a lunch and eat after we did some of the grounds with our pups, 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix siblings. Our pups absolutely loved running up and down the hills and through the grassy land, they tired out pretty quickly, which is the main objective. It is so quiet and serene out there. Jen is a great host, very sweet. The directions were perfect and we found the place easily. We will definitely be returning soon. Michelle D.

55Fresh water for the dogs, and plenty of beautiful spots to picnic and enjoy the views. We will definitely be returning. It would be hard to find a place better than this when you seek open space with isolation from other people and dogs. Elizabeth A.

55This property is everything I want in a sniffspot and thought didn't exist in the LA area. It's a wide open area with its own trail system along the hillside, and so there are tons of places to walk, let your dog explore and, when you get tired, just sit and read or just chill while your dog sniffs. The hosts were super lovely and easy to communicate with.
I took my dog here for her two year adoption anniversary and she had literally the best day of her life. I will be coming back again and often as it's not only a fun place for me and my dog but also the perfect place to train off-leash skills.
Note that the owners have dogs and a chicken coop, but they were put away and their house is on top of a hill and generally set off from the area we were. As a courtesy I kept my dog on a long leash when we were near the house, so you might want to do the same if your dog is reactive to dogs/chickens.Lilian B.

55My dog and I very much enjoyed our first time at Enjoy Serenity Sniffspot. It is nestled in the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains, and is quiet and peaceful. To get there, you have to travel a little ways on a dirt road and up a steep driveway but it was no problem, even in my minivan. Our host, Jen, greeted us and oriented us to the property and off we went. My dog loved exploring and sniffing around off leash. There are plenty of places to sit on benches and enjoy the surroundings. There is also a picnic table and Jen provided water for the dog. There are a few trails that aren’t super long but we had fun just roaming around. There are lots of boulders and logs, perfect for dogs who like to “climb”. The property is not fenced in so may not be suitable for adventurous dogs who like to run off, but it’s perfect for dogs that have a good recall or don’t run away. The host has chickens that are put away in a coop, and the coop is far enough away from the area where I had my dog off-leash that she wasn’t tempted to check out the chickens. It was a perfect outing for us, and we will definitely be back. Conny K.

55This is a great property with different levels. Below the house is a nice big area with a picnic table and large water bowl. If you are adventurous, you can wander among lots of hills and books and crannies and give yourself a workout too!Shannon N.

55Everything about this Sniffspot is a well done! The directions are accurate and helpful. The spot itself is well maintained and peaceful. My dog loved walking the trails off leash and getting some fetch in flat area of the spot. Marina S.

55Quail View Ranch was a great Sniffspot — quiet, scenic, beautifully located, and full of interesting smells for our dog. She enjoyed sniffing around while we enjoyed the views and some birdwatching. The hills were fairly steep and gravelly, so I'd keep that in mind if you have a dog who sometimes pulls on leash (ours does).
Reactive Dogs: Our dog is dog reactive and can be sensitive to pretty much anything dog sized (big or small) that moves too fast, so she got excited when a rabbit bounded across the trail and into a bush at one point. She was fine with all the quail, though. Just something to beware of. Ryan M.

55Our dogs Bella and Sunny had the best time at Quail View Ranch! Bella tends to get distracted while walking on public trails, Jen's Ranch is truly an oasis. We were able to unleash Bella without her running away from us. I appreciated the cleanliness and privacy. I highly recommend Quail View Ranch!Jameson B.

55Good location to walk around off leash. Graded trails and lots of things to sniff and mark. Multiple seating areas along the way to take a break and let them roam while you soak in the Mountain View’s. Not as big as I expected and gate at the bottom allows for an easy escape. Definitely recommend you give it a try just be mindful of the gate. Ernie M.

55Beautiful views. I loved how private it was. Signs and directions clearly marked. I was puzzled by “ park by orange tree” direction, and was looking for a orange colored tree, but then I realized it is orange as in fruit tree :) Elena H.

FAQ about our Malibu dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
