This exit features a gas station, Grocery Outlet, Tesla charging stations, McDonald’s, Tractor Supply (dog toys!), A&W, a donut shop, Dollar Tree, and more. Winter update…the park has good drainage but there are some wet spots and it is getting a little torn up in areas because the dogs are have too much fun running around. It is not thick gooey mud but expect some dirty paws! This approximately one-acre park is fully fenced with brand new 5’ tall non-climb wire fencing. There are two gates for access: a walk-through gate if you choose to park on the wide gravel shoulder along the road, and a drive-through gate which allows you to bring your vehicle inside the park onto a large gravel parking area to unload your furry friends. Inside the park you will find a gently sloped grassy field with some nice flat areas also. There is a brand-new 12'x14' covered shelter to keep you out of the rain or hot sun. We havea real, vintage fire hydrant for your dog’s “enjoyment”. There is the 'King of the Spot' A climbing play area with ramps for your pups. Dogs only on the play feature please - not for humans to climb on. We also added 3 new resin benches around the spot for your enjoyment. Some rock wall terraces about 2’ to 3’ tall can be used for sitting, and for your larger breed dogs to jump up and down on. There are Adirondack chairs and a large wooden picnic table for the humans as well as the dogs (our Lab loves to jump up on top and take in the view). A water hydrant provides fresh water from our local municipal water source, Tri City Water, and you will find water pails for every size of dog. Nearby is a mailbox with doo doo bags, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and paper towels. You will also find two wooden crates: one filled with an assortment of toys, and the other provides a nice stick library for your pooch to choose from. Please note: both gates open inwards into the park. Seven or eight months out of the year you will find green grass (and weeds), in the summer months it will be dry dormant grass. The park is always kept mowed (except for fire season) and there will be no tall grass or weedy areas. We do not spray any herbicides or pesticides of any kind inside the park or along the fence lines. This park does not share a fence line with any other properties and there is a wide perimeter around the park on three sides. The fourth side is along Crest Drive, a medium trafficked residential road. There are some neighboring small dogs along the back line that will say hello now and then, but there is a 80’ buffer between the fence lines on this side. We respect your privacy while using the park, and even though we would love to come over and play with every dog visitor and say hello to their humans, we will only meet you by specific request. Generally the park is available to book during daylight hours, but there is some flexibility for your special requests. There is a nice light right across the street that lights up much of the park nicely at night. If you choose to park your vehicle inside the park, please open the gate slowly so that it doesn’t swing against the post too quickly. Both gates have combination locks on them. The current code will be provided upon scheduling your visit. This is a non-smoking park. Alcoholic beverages and drug use are also not allowed in the park. Please do not play loud music in the park. If you are ever unsatisfied with your visit for any reason, we will gladly contact Sniffspot and request a refund. *** Happy 2025!! *** How did we get through January so fast!? This year marks the 3rd year I have been open and it has been such an amazing experience. I have loved seeing every one of the dogs and meeting all of you owners! I was able to add a few improvements this year which I hoped helped in the areas it was needed. I still have a long list to fulfill and as always, I am open to suggestions, what is needed, what is not needed! We added more granite to safely pull all the way in and park. The greenhouse is such a fun idea although suffered some damage during the first storm after getting it up. I do have the parts to repair it, bring on the garden season! I am trying to come up with shaded areas in the far far back pasture. That may take more planning and time. But it is on the list. I think the main project when weather allows will be getting some pipes in to add in a hot/cold bathing area. When we can trench more, my husband is going to move some electrical. That will allow me to put a nice little fridge in the barn for a coffee/hot chocolate bar! If my newly acquired hens (not on this property but next door) will cooperate, I will be putting eggs out there when I have extra available to sell. And fencing .. always fencing! Dog park or not that is just a never-ending issue on the farm. We also dug the small pond a little deeper and boy howdy is the water flowing right now! Again, I am always open to and appreciate feedback. We own 40 beautiful acres that back up to BLM government forest land up the mountain. You can enjoy a smaller lower meadow that has meadow grass with a picnic table, and an in ground burn pit with seating or choose a slightly larger more rustic meadow that offers a nice open space that's another great spot for dogs to be free and enjoy being dogs! Either meadow is great for playing fetch, where you can throw frisbees, balls, or other toys. It's a great training ground, bring your training items or it's a nice place to just hang out together, like day camping. Make a day out of it and use an available propane BBQ to cook up some hot dogs or burgers (bring your own food) while you enjoy hanging with your fur babies. If you feel like hiking up rough mountain terrain, you can, if that's your thing. We have several camping spots, picnic tables, and nice BBQ's, as well as burn pits, a hot water outdoor shower, hoses for cold water, and a porta potty. This was an unexpected surprise and we were pleasantly pleased with the cleanliness, amount of space and safety of this spot! I am a local rescue but today wanted a place to have a photographer snap some photos of my personal senior dogs and this was the most perfect (safe and contained) place! My dogs are large breeds and they enjoyed the openness and so much room to run and sniff new smells. We are excited for our area to have this and we plan to utilize this space more in the future! There was a covered area with a table, chairs, dog toys, fresh water in containers and the experience was so incredible! Only negative was that there is not a public restroom at the spot but there are places nearby so use one of those prior or after your visit and everything else is perfection!

We have a 3yr old chocolate lab and this was the perfect spot to take him to burn some of that energy ! If you have a high energy dog and don’t have the largest yard, this is a great spot to take em . The site was very clean and well kept up . I loved that there was a covered seating area where we could snack on some food while the dogs ran around . There was also a very nice water spot for the dogs. Highly recommend this spot for any and all pups !!

I normally don’t give 5 stars to any place, but this place was amazing! It’s a model for all dog parks! It was clean, spacious, thoughtfully designed…basically everything you could need in a dog park with extra amenities for dogs like water, shade, and toys. If only we could have stayed longer or lived closer. This was a rest-stop during our roadtrip from the Bay Area to Seattle. FYI plenty of other options for humans a short drive away, like McDonald’s, gas stations, etc.

So much perfection! My bull terrier, Sugar, had so much fun looking through the two large toy boxes to seek out her favourite type of toy - balls! I swear she pulled out almost every single one. My two doxie mixes, Rosie and Roxie, are whirling dervishes who love to zoom. There was so much space they really tired themselves out with full on sprints in every direction. There was lush greenery around the outside edge creating privacy. This space was a much needed reprieve for me too. After days travelling with three high energy dogs relegated to short walks on leash, this park gave my tired soul a nurturing hug knowing my three girls had the best time and that they burned off some of their pent up energy. If we didn’t have two more days of travel, we’d have stayed an extra hour! I can’t say enough positive things about this amazing dog park. Two thumbs up from me. 12 paws up from my girls! We used this spot while heading south from Salem to give our dogs a chance to stretch on our road trip. This is the most well-equipped and securely fenced spot we’ve ever visited. What an amazing place! Stumbled upon it by accident last week and we have already used it three times! They have tons of dog toys and frisbees …even sticks! Water station, poop bags and even a place to throw it away and hand sanitizer. Our dog loves it and is able to chase a ball 2,473 times! It’s spotlessly clean and a huge area for her to run safely! We’re so excited it’s a minute from our house! We haven’t been able to use other dog parks lately because when we go, nobody cleans up after their dogs and we’re afraid she will get sick this place is immaculate! Outstanding place A++

We chose Grace Dog Park to break up a 10 hour drive. It was a warm day, but there was plenty of shade under a tree and under the lovely patio cover. We appreciated that we could drive onto the Sniffspot, close the gate behind us, open the back lift gate, and let the fun begin. Super clean, thoughtful amenities, fresh water, plenty of space, toys, shade, chairs. Dogs had a blast stretching their legs and we had a good rest before continuing our drive. 5 stars!

Glenn and Renee are amazing hosts. We first saw their Myrtle Creek Sniffspot when they were just opening last July. Since then it has become a park full of wonder. Obstacles for dogs to climb on beautiful grounds to run on three different size water buckets all with freshwater, two huge boxes filled with class quality toys, and a beautiful safe, fully fenced area for running, when Glenn offered to come join us and play with the dogs, I didn’t realize he would actually be the entertainment for our two Bearded Collies. he helped them run and get out all the energy from a 10 hour car ride. It’s a lovely setting. They are continuing to improve an ad to. It’s the perfect advertisement for a Sniffspot.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
