55Second review! We went out again yesterday. It was almost 100 degrees out but Colleen had fresh water for our dog and us available and ready in a nice shaded spot.L with chairs! She left us a ball thrower and ball as well for us to use while we were there. I cannot say enough good things about this spot. If you are in Pendleton or passing through and need a place to let your dog run free of other dogs, please come here!Lisa W.

55Wonderful spot offering sun and some shade with lots of room to run! Water, snacks towels and toys were handy for the pups. Irrigation was running in the field and was nice treat for the people and pups on the warm day. Water, poop disposal receptacle, chairs for the humans, too. Some of the fencing is the bigger spaces, 6”? so the littler guests might be able to pop through if they wanted. My 16lb mini poodle could have worked her way through if she really tried.
Colleen responded quickly and was so accommodating when our arrival time kept changing due to traffic and other delays. This was an easy and convenient location not too far off the highway, too. The last part of the road is gravel but in great condition. Spectacular views! We will definitely return if we pass through Pendleton again. Jennifer M.

55Fun rural pit stop on a Seattle-Boise roadtrip! Host was very communicative and the entrance was clearly marked. Spot is a bit better suited for larger pups—our 1 year old Golden Retriever had a blast prancing through the field—but our Shih Tzu was not bored by any means. Nancy Z.

55Carrie happened to be out of town when we visited, but she was quick to communicate through the app and her husband was very helpful in showing us where we could hang out and what toys were available. There were three separate pastures with gates separating them, and plenty of space to run and sniff. Our pup had a great time sniffing around, staring at the pigs (from behind a fence), and playing with new toys. We will definitely be back!Angelica B.

55I was so grateful to have this respite on my journey. The space was so large and my little legged fur babies sniffed every inch! Thank you to the helpful folks who were on-site and got us clean water.Bekka S.

55We had such a great time letting our 3 pups explore this location. The scenic drive from Portland was quite enjoyable & the host was very kind. I do recommend keeping your pups leashed until you’re inside the fenced field so the resident peacock isn’t bothered. The red barn is not visible from the street but the sign over the driveway (the name on the sign is given after booking) is easy to find. Follow the drive way past the left side of the house & park next to the red barn. It is an honor to be the first to leave a review. This location was a bit of a drive but was well worth it. I would love to visit this spot again.
Thank you so much to the host! :) Katie O.

FAQ about our Pendleton dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 94% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Pendleton area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 13 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 2 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
