Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business”, smile. That’s a mandatory request. Waste bags are provided in a plastic box with other dog’s supplies) and a BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Have dog(s) properly vaccinated and current with their vaccinations. Be with their dog(s) within the fenced area at all times, have the dog(s) under voice control at all times and carry the dog’s leash. Owners are responsible for dog(s) behavior. Keep dog(s) in designated enclosed area when off leash. Dog(s) must be leashed before leaving the Dog Run per San Ramon Municipal Code, Section B5-27. Do not use Park if your dog(s) is aggressive toward people or other dogs, anti-social, in heat, unruly or barks excessively. Aggressive dogs are NOT welcome in the Dog Park. If an owner’s dog begins to play too rough or shows signs of aggressive behavior, owner must immediately remove the dog(s). Dogs must be at least four months of age to use the park. Respect the neighbors' privacy and right to a quiet neighborhood. Dog owners are responsible to clean up dog(s) feces with Scoopers provided, and place in trash receptacles provided. City maintenance staff will not be cleaning up after dogs defecating in the park. Dog owners are responsible for keeping the park feces free. Should owners not take responsibility for this park, and cleaning up after their animals, City will close the park. Dog owners may be cited per San Ramon Municipal Code, Section B5-27G for not picking up feces from their dog(s) in the park or within the public right of way. Dog Owners are responsible and liable for the actions and behavior of the dog(s) under their supervision at all times while in the Dog Park. No more than 3 dogs per owner allowed at one time in the Park. Owners use the park at their risk. Oakland backyard for your doggy to run!

I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue. Canine Corral at Hap Magee Ranch Park

The off-leash dog area is for dogs, their handlers and those accompanying them. No other use is allowed. Children under 8 years old are not allowed in the off-leash area. Children between the ages of 9 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All dogs must have a current license and vaccinations. No dogs under 4 months of age are allowed in the park. Female dogs in season are not allowed in the park. Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the off-leash dog area. Dogs must be under control and in view of their handler at all times. Handlers must have possession of the dog leash at all times. Aggressive dogs are not allowed. The handler of any dog exhibiting aggressive or unruly behavior is required to immediately remove the offending animal. Handlers must clean up after their dogs. Maximum of three dogs per handler. Handlers are responsible for any injuries caused by the dog(s) under their control. Users of the facility do so at their own risk. Neither Contra Costa County nor the Town of Danville shall be liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog in the off-leash area. The Town of Danville reserves the right to close the facility for maintenance and repair.

Dog Park at Ed Levin Park

Dogs must be controlled by a six (6) foot leash at all times except in off-leash facilities. Handlers must be at least 16 years of age. An adult must accompany all persons under 16. Only two dogs permitted per handler. Handlers must supervise and be able to verbally control their dogs at all times. It is the dog owner's responsibility or person having custody or care of the dog to ensure that their animal doesn't interfere with, bother, or harass park users, other animals, wildlife or park resources.
