My dogs were very interested in the farm animals when we crossed their pasture to get to the spot, but the animals were mellow and basically ignored the dogs. Always our favorite spot not just for how great it is for the dogs but because the hosts are genuinely two of the nicest people ever. This place is my happy place. If you're on the fence, please give this spot a chance. It is truely the best. I love the grassy, graded hill where the dogs can get a lovely fetch work out. My dogs love swimming in the shaded area of the stream- even my chihuahua! John is always kind, respectful, greets you warmly and treats your pups like they are family. We did have to go through a pasture with loose chickens, bunnies, and cows - if your dog has a strong prey drive I’d suggest reaching out to the owners to ask if you can meet them at a different parking spot at the top of the trails. We did have to go through a pasture with loose chickens, bunnies, and cows - if your dog has a strong prey drive I’d suggest reaching out to the owners to ask if you can meet them at a different parking spot at the top of the trails. We will definitely be making the trip out here again at some point!

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Are dog parks safe?
