55This was our second time visiting this place, and we loved it even more than the first time. We reserved a bit more time, explored some new trails, brought our own wood to make a fire (though you can buy nice split wood on-site), cooked some lunch, got "lost" in the woods for a bit, and generally had a great afternoon out. Our pup loves exploring nature and sniffing all the smells, while I appreciate the well-maintained trails and the cleanest porta-potty I've ever seen. :) Thanks to the owners for making this magical place available to dogs and the humans who love them. We'll be back again!Kristin O.

55Amazing as always! It was VERY warm today. We usually spend a good 2 hours during the winter, but judging from our experience today, I think an hour is just enough during the summer months :)Yuki -.

55What a fun spot! It is like walking through your own private national forest. This was our second visit and we were able to explore even more of the property than before. My dog absolutely loves it here - there is so much land and different “sniffs” to explore. We even ran into a buzzard feeding on a carcass. Truth is I didn’t see the carcass but my dog did as he was several yards ahead of me and scared the buzzard into the trees. Once I went forward a bit I smelled the carcass and decided to turn around and go the other way😊. Overall, we had a great time and easily spent 90 minutes exploring the may trails throughout the woodlands. We also bought eggs and they are delicious - so much better than what you can buy at the grocery store. Highly recommended Sniffspot! Bonnie B.

55Excellent spot! A lot of trails, some nice grassy areas, and it is private. A deer crossed a trail behind us which our dogs found very exciting! I would recommend booking at least two hours as their place is quite large and it's easy to want to relax and just hang out for a bit.Erika P.

55Absolute heaven for dogs and people. Well marked and maintained trails, lots of variety of environments, some open grassy spaces to run, woodsy trails, lots of wildlife. We spent 2 hours here with our 9 month old Shepherd who is still learning trail manners. Was a great opportunity to train in a relaxed and slightly more controlled real world environment. We drove 2 hours to get her and it was worth it, will be back!Simon C.

55We love this place so much - it's well worth a drive to spend a couple of hours here with our reactive pup. We keep him on a long lead, since his recall leaves something to be desired, but let him decide the direction and sniff to his heart's content. Today, when we showed up (thankfully after the great PNW heatwave of 2021 had passed), the host had left a pile of firewood (which we didn't burn, but it was a nice touch), a helpful note about the deer (they have attitude this time of year due to protecting their young), and - I don't know if this was on purpose - a very nice stick leaning against the picnic table that my dog promptly carted off and made his own. We also noted they had strung some hammocks between the nearby trees. We came to get some exercise and explore, so we didn't use the hammocks, but what a great option if you were spending, say, an entire afternoon instead of just a couple of hours. I've mentioned the ultra-clean portapotty before - still ultra-clean! You could see they have been doing some work on the trails and that they make a real effort to maintain everything. I hope everyone who visits respects this place, because it is a gem!Kristin O.

55We loved the time we spent at Malaney Creek Farm! It was a gorgeous day and Tracy made it very easy - she allowed us to self-check (excitable pup), we found the farm no problem thanks to her directions, and once we got there, the Sniffspot directional signs led us to *the* spot. The spot itself was lovely - nice, open grassy area, covered picnic table, fire pit, chairs (which I think we forgot to re-stack before we left :( - so sorry, Tracy.) I have to give the host kudos for THE cleanest port-a-potty I've ever seen in my life, which also was very much appreciated. Our dog does not have reliable recall so we used our 30-foot long-lead on the trails, which worked out great and kept him out of trouble. :) He had great fun and so did we - it was so nice to not be on high alert for other dogs who might approach us and set off our leash-reactive pup while enjoying nature. We even found a tennis ball at the spot, which we played with for a bit when we took a break from exploring. We booked two hours, which went by quickly. (One note for future visitors: we heard gunshots several times during our visit. It didn't faze our dog or us, but for people or pets who are sensitive to that, may want to take note. It wasn't in our immediate vicinity, but it was audible.) All in all, we had a great afternoon out and we hope to come back soon!Kristin O.

55We had so much fun at this spot! Our dog did a ton of exploring and sniffing, and he left tired and happy. Trails are a little muddy in places, as expected this time of year, so just be sure to bring a towel. Our reactive dog had absolutely no problems here and loved every minute of it! Owner is incredibly kind and willing to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back in the future! Elisabeth W.

55Fantastic place to bring the dogs! I wish I booked more than an hour. I immediately got a little lost on the trails but my dogs were happy to explore. I'm glad I brought boots and towels for the dogs, and we also went to the lake afterwards to rinse off completely. Naomi T.

55We consistently have a great experience at this spot. My dog's favorite thing (next to string cheese) is to go on a woodland sniffari, and this place is like heaven to him. It's also pleasant for the humans, too, including plenty of Adirondack chairs for when you want a break from the trails, a covered picnic table, and a portapotty. That last amenity is especially appreciated, since we have a bit of a drive to get to the spot and we always book a couple of hours. This place is definitely worth the drive and the price.Kristin O.

55This was a great spot! My German shepherd had lots of room to stretch his legs. It was a little confusing knowing where to park as it's just a big grassy lawn when you pull up. It was also confusing know where we were and were not allowed to be as some of the trails lead to other camping spots and to a dirt road that had quite a few cars going by on it, which could pose a safety issue since dogs are off leash. Luckily you can hear cars coming down the road so I had time to make sure my dog was secured and no one was pulling into where we were. Overall it's a nice spot with a few short trails with lots of shade and a great grassy area to play fetch.Alex B.

FAQ about our Shelton dog water parks
Are dog water parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. If you are worried about whether you can have an enjoyable water experience, just know that it is possible to have peace of mind when visiting dog waterparks by following basic safety guidelines. Some great ways to stay safe around water with your dog include learning canine CPR and keep an eye on your dog at all times to ensure they are not distressed. You can learn more about safety around water here.
How can I find the best dog water parks in Shelton?
There are 21 dog water parks in the Shelton area. The most popular dog water park is 🐕 Fido's 2 acre Country Oasis 🐕. You can browse all of our dog water parks here.
How do I know if a dog water park works for my dog?
Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing and distractions, to find a dog park that works for your dog. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog water parks. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog water parks where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to see what kind of water features are offered to make sure it works for your dog. If your dog is not a strong swimmer, then perhaps choose a dog water park with tamer water features rather than a river or beach, for instance. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions, and of course, checking water park hours.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot water park?
We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Additionally, we recommend following our water safety guidelines.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot water park at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
If you are planning an amazing dog water park party, each Sniffspot water park has their own rules regarding special events. Many water parks allow doggie birthday parties, training and other event types. Event organizers need to be responsible for their guests and event organizers should coordinate with the host regarding their fun party.
What are the coolest doggie water features available?
Sniffspot dog water parks can have a variety of features, everything from swimming pools to rivers to beaches to hoses and kiddie pools. If you are dreaming of a curtain of water, water tunnels, a ball pit pool, water slide ball pits, splash pools or other cool features, you can definitely find amazing features at Sniffspot dog water parks. Each water park is different, so check the details of the park to find the incredible dog water park of your dreams.
