Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)!There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s an area where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, cornhole, 2 lounge chairs, 4 folding chairs. a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *Seasonal Attention-We have baby bunnies on our property. They usually hide really well, but if your pup finds a baby or a nest, please redirect your pup to try to avoid the bunnies from getting hurt. *We recently discovered two Yellow Jacket ground nests near the creek in the middle of the spot in the tall grassy area with trails. Unfortunately, we found out the hard way! The nests were disturbed by guests and they were stung several times. We treated the nests immediately and have not seen anymore Yellow Jackets. We put temporarily fencing up around where the nests were located just to be safe for awhile, so please keep your dogs (and humans) out of the fenced area for your safety. We’ll check daily to make sure they don’t come back, and/or that there aren’t any survivors. Please let us know if you see any Yellow Jackets during your visit so we can take care of them as soon as possible. Thank you!

Conveniently located 2 minutes off of I-205 and 7 min off of I-5! Fully fenced & recently added 360° privacy screen. The property is a flat field, with short grass, which makes for the perfect space for your dog(s) to run to their hearts desire! This is also an ideal spot for training, especially disengage/reengage recall. You can keep an eye on your pups from all areas. The field is graded for proper water drainage, so there won’t be much of any mud during the rainy season. There is privacy from the main residence and the road. We are a search and rescue that deals with hard cases and know what its like to have dogs that can’t be around other dogs, animals or people. This spot is dedicated to those dogs in an effort to help keep them active and happy at home so their families don’t have to give them up or have them end up in a shelter. Come down the first driveway. You will see a white sign “Windenfir” You will then see a sign “Windenfir Training Field.” Parking avail in front of gate, near the exit, or in front of garage. Basically you can park anywhere :) Agility course, tennis balls, fresh water, and poo buckets available. After going though Windenfir training field gate you will see the back gate with a sign “Windenfir Dog Pasture." Great place to explore and let them sniff. Back gate at the end of pasture is on leash only. Close gate when you leave! Have deer who live in the back acre so a lot to sniff. Looking to the right when out in the pasture, the neighbors Goldens occasionally bark. Two fences between properties on this side. Owner usually calls them when barking. The pasture has goat droppings so no surprises. This is a farm :) Chickens and goats in separate area and visible to dogs (see photos). Don’t be surprised if they come up to the fence to see what’s going on. Very nice field fencing in pasture. Chain link/field fencing in training field. As of now the pasture is slick and hard packed in certain areas. Check pasture area if deciding to throw a ball/stick/small child :). Playhouse is open for photos and kids. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Sept 3-Oct 11** Beautiful views and farm animal neighbors add to the fun. Shade trees and seating make this spot fun for all! Long and short grass *currently approx 1/3 mowed, the rest is a field of high grass. There is a trail mowed around outside a few through center*, slight hills, a sand pile and dirt to dig in too! We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc is added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. WINTER: Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. It may grow and shrink throughout the season. Dogs love it! Ground will likely be soggy but we will close if entrance becomes unsafe. SUMMER: During warm weather there is a 9’ stock tank pool (not filtered) for dogs. One adult may accompany each dog but please no children. >> Please note! Perimeter fence was replaced and spot now includes additional space! There are more trees and brush included for your dogs sniffing pleasure. Please use caution, there are some new trip hazards and holes. We have walked this multiple times but things may continue to work their way out of the exposed earth. Clean porta potty available for guest use. This is also used by others, please keep dogs leashed in this area. This park is dedicated to Dexter, the King of Bork. He was a loud, happy guy that lived to bark! He inspired Misspits Rescue who has saved hundreds of dogs and other animals. All proceeds from this rental support Misspits and the animals in our care.

A quarter acre fenced backyard to play fetch in or just let the dogs sniff around! Lots of bird and bunny smells. There’s plenty of seating in the yard but let me know if you need a dry camp chair. Umbrellas and towels will be put out on the front porch on rainy days. Treat jars are hung around the yard on the fence- feel free to use some!

Welcome to our little slice of country, close in! We hope you and your fur kids enjoy the space as much as we and ours do. While we do our very best to leave things clean and tidy and pick up our own 'poops', please forgive us if we miss any. It's a really BIG space and we live here :) All fencing is 4ft. If your dog can jump a 4ft fence, this is not a good fit. The neighbors to the left have two dogs that bark on occasion and one will jump up on the fence, bark and peek over. It can startle you, but he can't jump over. We just ignore him and he goes about his business. If your dog is reactive or will pick a fight t the wood fence this may not be a good fit. Otherwise, just enjoy the huge yard because that small section of the fence is easily avoided. There are 2 chairs, a small table, electrical outlet and a hose at the outbuilding. Please keep ALL gates closed. You will have the property to yourself. Enjoy! P.S. There is a garbage and recycle can near the gate available for your use, and poop bags on one of the big fir trees.

A fully-fenced, huge yard for your dogs to play in! You can relax on your porch and watch them! Use either the left or right gate entrance; they both open out (pulling), and don't be afraid to use a little elbow grease. *Accessibility: The entrance to the right has no stairs to the yard. The left entrance has three steps. The porch is up five steps from the yard. My 2-year-old labradoodle Winston will stay inside when you come, but if your dogs want a playmate, he is happy to oblige.
