The I-5 of the Pacific Northern railways runs right by my property. The trains are frequent and loud. Be aware if you have sound reactive dogs (or humans). We live on 5 acres about 1 mile from Camp Bonneville. The Sniffspot is a 2 acre pasture with a fenced seasonal pond in the middle. Pasture is fenced with 4 foot field fence with electric wire at the top (not charged), and separate from the house. Front fence borders on 68th St. Plenty of room to run and explore! Let's keep the pasture nice, please discourage digging and pick up after dog. My Border Collie and Mini Aussie will find your leavings (it's a large space, I understand things get missed, it helps to carry poo bags to minimize backtracking). For human exercise... 6 laps around perimeter fence is approx. 1 mile, 6 laps around pond fence is approx. 1/4 mile. If you're coming from Portland, the bridges and 4th Plain traffic can be challenging!

It will be reopened in the spring. 12/5/25: 🐾🐾 Got mud? We sure do! Heads up that Red Barn Run is quickly turning into a large mud puddle, even with the back half closed for the season. We've heard from many guests that still love to give their pups this experience, dogs love mud! There are also guests who are not so fond of the muddy pup clean up afterward. If you choose to visit, please be prepared and consider rain gear including rainboots for all guests and towels for muddy pup clean up. 1/9/26: 🦅 The eagles are back! There are a pair of beautiful bald eagles that are often in the trees on or near the park. For this reason, dogs under 15 pounds should always have a spike vest on for their safety when at Red Barn Run. Eagles have the ability to pick up and fly off with dogs as big as 15 lbs. Thank you! 🐾🐾

Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Fully fenced 1 acre dimensions are approx 50'-1000'. Water bucket and hose at entrance and at approx 400 feet in. Picnic table at the far end of property with shade awning for humans. Fort Lewis helicopters may be flying around. Fence is on property line with neighbors driveway on other side. Neighbors on one side of fence have dogs that may or may not be out. Goats (ours) may be out on the other side yard. Park on top, and keep gate closed please. This space is primarily goat pasture. Please no smoking, no littering (this includes sunflower husks/food waste), and DO NOT drive down the hill. All proceeds go to child's 529 College Savings Plan so thank you for visiting! If you lose a ball or other item on either side of fence message me. Do not go down the non-gated property to retrieve per neighbor request. Anyone reported having gone down neighbors' property will be banned and reported to Sniffspot.

Conveniently located 2 minutes off of I-205 and 7 min off of I-5! This is a fully private space, separated from the residence yard. Fully fenced & recently added 360° privacy screen. The property is a flat field, with short grass, which makes for the perfect space for your dog(s) to run to their hearts desire! This is also an ideal spot for training, especially disengage/reengage recall. You can keep an eye on your pups from all areas. There is privacy from the main residence and the road. ** Please read spot specific rules when booking. ** If you are bringing a foster dog, feel free to reach out to me to receive a discount code! ** If you would like to book a reservation that exceeds an hour, or book for a larger party of dogs, feel free to message me and I will open the calendar up to allow you to do so! ** The table and umbrella are mainly to provide shade in the summer, but there won’t typically be dry seating when it is raining, although I do my best to dry it off between the rain. I would still advise to bring an umbrella when there is a chance of rain if you prefer to stay dry.

Welcome! We offer a 1 acre, fenced FIELD for your dog(s) to run, play, sniff and bark! Seasonal lake up and down throughout winter. Currently pretty dry. **Early December we flooded. The waters have receded to just a puddle that will raise and lower throughout winter. If your dogs love to sniff and swim, they will love it! So many new smells! Plus they can go search for all the toys that floated away! It can be a little mucky near entrance but not too bad. THIS IS A FIELD, MEDIUM & HIGH GRASS, not always mowed short. Our dogs love rolling and sniffing in it! Beautiful views and farm animal neighbors add to the fun. Shade trees and seating make this spot fun for all! Long and short grass, slight hills and a sand pile to dig in too! We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc are added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. During the summer there are two unfiltered pools, one small and one 9’ above ground stock tank. LARGE POOL CLOSED FOR THW SEASON. Please make sure pups know how to get in/out safely. There are towels in a bin near the table. ***PLEASE POSTPONE IF YOUR DOG IS IN HEAT - we’d love her to visit once done though!*** We ask that you not use electric collars while visiting, thank you. **May-July 4, New Years** there may be fireworks displays nearby. These are usually Fri-Sat mid day into evening. Feel free to message questions if you are concerned. We also have some new rescue dogs that may be heard barking as they adjust. They are 200’ or so from spot but may be heard. WINTER: Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. It may grow and shrink throughout the season. Dogs love it! Ground will likely be soggy but we will close if entrance becomes unsafe. SUMMER: (closed for season) During warm weather there is a 9’ stock tank pool (not filtered) for dogs. One adult may accompany each dog but please no children. Private parking for one or two vehicles available. If additional needed, please message host. Clean porta potty available for guest use. This is also used by others, please keep dogs leashed in this area. This park is dedicated to Dexter, the King of Bork. He was a loud, happy guy that lived to bark! He inspired Misspits Rescue who has saved hundreds of dogs and other animals. All proceeds from this rental support Misspits and the animals in our care.
