55Wonderful place if your dog has reliable recall. It has a couple of acres of nicely cut grassy field, perfect for fetch. A fairly busy road is within sight of the field, so again make sure your dog has a solid recall. Beyond the field is a trail running between farmlands and a very clear little creek, so a great opportunity for your dog to cool off and play in the water. Will happily return!Corry R.

55Love this spot! Martin was so welcoming with an electronic and paper map, and the trails are very well marked with signs. My reactive dog was so happy to run as hard as he could without seeing a soul.Ann A.

55We had a great time at Martin's! We booked an hour and it wasn't enough time to do all the trails. Would definitely recommend for a reactive dog. Lots to sniff and explore!Cat S.

55This spot is a gem! Martin met us when we arrived to give us a bit of an orientation and a map, which was a thoughtful touch. My dog can be reactive to strangers, and Martin worked with me to set up a meeting she could tolerate, which I really appreciated.
The trails themselves are clear and well maintained, even in winter. No sign of any other people or dogs while we were walking - this is a great spot for reactive dogs and their guardians to have a nice (relaxing!) outdoor adventure.
One section of trails runs closer to the road, so be mindful of that if you’re concerned about your pup running off. This wasn’t an issue for us - my girl doesn’t stray too far when we hike - but if that’s a concern for you, it would be easy to avoid that section. We’ll be back and definitely recommend this spot!Erin and Jason B.

FAQ about our Simcoe dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 94% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Simcoe area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 163 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 14 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
