55This spot was my dog’s paradise. It was a truly amazing experience without worries of running into other dogs and other triggers. The property is immaculately maintained. There are huge fields to run, trees to sniff, and a magical little trail with other nooks to explore. There is also a sandy area we did not get a chance to explore because my dog was busy sniffing and zooming around. 😂 The host is also extremely helpful and checked in with us to ensure a good visit AND there is a bin for guests with towels, and goodies. 55Went here for the first time today and my dog loved it! Crashed as soon as we got in the car! Tons of running space and great for long distance fetch! Being close to the road made me a bit nervous so if you have a dog that is super unreliable with recall definitely stay in the areas further in. Otherwise great place! Were definitely more mosquitoes than I anticipated, but Frances had a great bin at the entrance with bug spray, sunscreen, bowls, water, poop bags and anything else you might forget. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
