“Five paws up for lakeside hangs with my best bud Ryan!” Hi, I’m Winston — a beagle with a nose for the good life, and this lakeside spot in Woodbridge is totally pawsome. I always have the best time hanging out with my buddy Ryan. We explore the yard together, check out turtle shells, sniff fox trails, and sometimes we hang in the shed, doing really important stuff. Even on a hot, muggy day, I found cool shade to lounge in, rolled in some grassy incense (12/10 would roll again), and took a refreshing dip in the lake. I skipped the kiddie pool, but helped myself to some classy sips from it. Peaceful views, amazing smells, and the kindest hosts (shoutout to Larissa and Ryan!) — it’s a five-sniff day every time. I left with a wet belly, a happy tail, and dreams of coming back soon. — Winston 🐾

This is the most amazing sniffspot. Ryan greets you and orients you to the space and if you’re amenable, will play with your dog, retrieve misplaced lake toys and just be a cheerful presence. Leela had an amazing time and slept for the rest of the day. We’ll definitely be back!

The ultimate summer splash zone for reactive pups—private, playful, and perfectly chill. This lakeside SniffSpot is a fenced-in paradise where my socially-anxious dog can run, sniff, and cool off without the stress of other dogs. Between the lake access, the kiddie pool, and all the wild scents, Winston has a blast every time. Larissa and Ryan are top-tier hosts who just get reactive dogs. This spot is our go-to for safe summer fun and my dog loves running around with Ryan as if he were his brother from another mother. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful time. Hosts were very friendly and definitely dog people. Got to see an Osprey and Blue Heron so that was a treat. The back is hilly so definitely got the pups tired. Just lovely.

We had a great experience bringing our puppy here for his first attempt at swimming! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful in getting our little guy comfortable with the water. It's a nice spot with lots of room to run around, toys and obstacles to interact with, and a shady spot to cool off. We'll definitely be returning 😊

This was our 2nd visit to this spot. It has ample room and a great lawn for our 2 Corgis. The patio are is shaded with plenty of chairs to sit on.

We had a great time at Larissa and Ryan’s SniffSpot!! We took our pup Ruby here for her first birthday and she had an absolute blast!! Ryan was a fantastic host and even had a birthday surprise planned for Ruby! We were blown away of how thoughtful they were and they are building a doggy paradise in their backyard!! Ruby loved playing the toys, running around, and taking in all of the sniffs! She even made a new best friend - Ryan!! ☺️

The space was great, they truly thought of all the details and were friendly and welcoming. I was recovering from surgery and the host even got on the ground playing with my dog while I enjoyed watching from the shade! We will definitely be back.

This was my first time doing sniffspot! My boy absolutely loved his time here playing in the water and chewing sticks. The host wore him out!! Such a friendly guy with tons of energy and you can tell he adores dogs!! He thought of everything, he had toys, water bowls, clean water baby pools, a hose for rinsing after, and ice cube popsicle… Roscoe was immediately obsessed with him and after playing with him, he lasted about 1 min in the car before he was passed out! We will definitely be back!!

This was the perfect spot for a hot day for my 2 girls. There is ample room to play fetch, take a dip in the lake, and cool off in the kiddie pools. Shade and chairs were provided, along with all the amenities you need for a visit, should you forget to bring your own supplies. The host was very kind to come out and play with the girls. Ekko and Charlie were exhausted. It was a little muddy down by the fence, but without rain, there's no rainbows, and we don't mind getting dirty. Thank you for your hospitality!

Awesome yard!! The pups had an amazing time running around and playing in the kiddie pools! The owner was so nice and played with the pups with us to get them excited and running around! We will definitely be coming back!!

This was our very first Sniff Spot, and I can’t put into words how wonderful it was. The host met us at the curb and led us to the yard, where there were small (kiddy) pools filled with clean water, cold water for the humans (we’re currently in the “heat dome”), dog water, bug spray, seating, and dog toys. Ryan had the time that day to stay with us (he asked permission to do so, and we were delighted to have him), and he played with my high energy boy and my reactive girl. They both had so much fun, and they absolutely loved him from the beginning (a rare thing for my girl!). He explained the boundaries of the space, showed us the lake access, and was very kind and fun to be around. It was such a nice touch for our first visit. They really set the bar HIGH for all other Sniff Spots, and we will definitely be visiting again!

This was the best sniff spot experience that north and I have ever had. Ryan was an excellent host and I loved that he played with North. She was obsessed with the lake water, the water hose and the pools. We will definitely be back and I’m considering this our sniff spot for as long as they’re open lol thank you again Ryan and Larissa for sharing your lake and yard with us! Very fun atmosphere with a lot of things for the dogs to do. The husband is very fun and kind! He played with our pups and it was a blast! Hope to be back soon

Perfect way to exhaust 3 dogs before the heat set in! Everything is exactly as advertised and Ryan is a dog whisperer! He is the first male stranger my reactive dog has ever let near him, much less pet and play with!! Can’t say enough good things about this spot!

We had a great time on our visit. Although it took my pup some warming up to get into the lake, he eventually got there and enjoyed a few swims. The hosts had also set out some doggie pools, which my pup had lots of fun rolling around in on a hot day. We’ll definitely be back for more lake swims!

Larissa and Ryan’s Lakeside Sniffspot is not only beautifully maintained, but thoughtfully designed with reactive dogs in mind. From the moment you enter the fenced yard, you’re greeted with natural scents, gentle lake breezes, and even a fresh kiddie pool for your pup to cool off in, or drink from. There are agility props to explore, and the scent trails from visiting wildlife (foxes, frogs, osprey, turtles!) keep noses busy and tails wagging. My rescue beagle, Winston, came here completely shut down and reactive around strangers and other dogs. Over time groom coming here, he’s blossomed—he’s learning trust again, building confidence, and even made a new canine friend during a coordinated visit! Ryan is truly a dog whisperer, and Winston lights up whenever he sees him. This spot is a haven—perfect for reactive pups or joyful group play, and we’re so grateful it’s part of our routine now!

I encountered an unexpected family emergency this morning, which was unfortunate as we were really looking forward to attending. However, I always feel comfortable communicating with Shadow's dad. He is such a kind, caring, and understanding person, always attentive and ready to accommodate both you and your dogs. His dedication truly goes above and beyond, and we genuinely appreciate everything he does for us! Thankfully, we managed to reschedule for a later time 🤎
