Park rules:
All pups are required to be on a leash while at Pups and Pints, unless in the off-leash dog park.
Collars on Pups in the off-leash park must display name and contact info.
No shock or e-collars are permitted at the park.
Retractable leashes are not permitted at the park.
While we do recommend that every pup is fully vaccinated, we do not enforce it in our main on-leash area. Pups are also not required to be fixed; only if you want them to play in our off-leash park.
Owners are responsible for their Pups’s behavior. Each owner is solely responsible for their Pup’s actions and assumes all liability for damages or injuries suffered by any Pup or person by the member or their Pup.
Two Pups maximum per person.
Ignoring a Pawficial’s request may lead to removal from the off-leash park.
Please clean up after your Pup.
Outside drinks are prohibited by Virginia ABC law.
Pups must be on a leash AT ALL TIMES while not in the off-leash park.

55My 3 dogs and I had an excellent time here! My 2 retriever’s love to play fetch with the chuck it and I forgot mine, but they had a chuck it stuck and plenty of tennis balls at the ready for us! Which was so appreciated. We also arrived to a sweet welcome note with our names on it! The area was a great size, very clean, water available, fun toys, and I really like to privacy fence. We will absolutely be back, the dogs loved it! Being disabled, I’ve been having a hard time with my chronic pain and balance lately. Having an even, big but not too big, and very clean space helped so much. We can’t wait to come again!Emma R.

The most thoughtful host with a fabulous backyard! Just stopped by for 30 min to let my dog, Rue, run off leash. Wish I had booked a full hour because we both LOVED it! Exactly as described and I’m so thankful that Maple Gray shared her yard with us 💕 we will absolutely be back!

55This spot was great, there were no gaps in the fence and the gate was secure. Also no gaps under the fence, so I felt very confident my dog would not escape. Really large yard with plenty of room to play fetch. My dog had a blast! There was a toddler in the house who was super curious, and banging on the glass door that opened onto the deck, then at one point they opened the door and started to come out. That scared me as I haven’t tested my new rescue dog around kids yet. Luckily he was fine. But it took a while for an adult to notice and close the door - my dog was able to run all the way from the edge of the yard right up to the kid, and could easily have run into the house, before the door was closed. If your dog reacts badly with kids make sure to chat with the host about it first to keep everyone safe. Heather B.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
