No neighbours to hassle you while making all the noise you want. Grass may be tall or short when you arrive. Trails cut around the perimeter and through the forest to get to the pond. And right now, enjoy picking wild mulberries and raspberries while they are in season as your dog explores. We do suggest bringing some bug spray/mosquito repellent.

We have a fire pit with seating in one of the grass acres. There are no longer Alpacas and goats here as they’ve moved to the farm down the road. But you will come across Canadian Geese and Wild Turkeys, and sometimes Deer. As you drive by the red barn to the parking area you will sometimes see our dog friendly dog Butch in his gated area most likely sleeping! 😄 Once you reach your parking it is private and you are alone.

We offer free parking, access to nearby conservation trails, picnic tables, and a beautiful apple orchard to enjoy. We have a dedicated fenced 5 acre pasture for your dogs enjoyment. Please keep your dog on leash until in the dedicated and signed Sniffspot area. Parking is available at the dog training building for the pasture rental area. Please do not touch or approach the horses. Available pasture runs along Eaton Road and Cromarty. Entrance to pasture is on the west side of the fenced outdoor sand ring. Water is available outside at the training arena. Come play with us!

On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre fully fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers to the field past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds. From the barn to the dog park you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. Crossing through the tree line, you have private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. The best time to come is May to September. Come walk between the sunflower rows that grow up to 10 feet tall in the late summer! We cut the field between the sunflowers, make trails and play spots. We also leave big areas untouched for our honeybees (hives located in the other field). Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season. Park has one main gate. This season we will also be placing picnic tables with a BBQ for large groups. I recommend booking the summer weekends in advance as they will fill up fast! Fencing Details: The 6-acre Dog Park Field is permanently fenced with approximately 2,500 linear feet of 4’ tall farm fence. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc) and cedar posts. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gate on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos). When the hay is high and close to being cut, the outer headlands of the fields will be cut down to make walking easier. Just outside of the city, private space to let your pup run, train and just enjoy being outside.

For example: we have deer and coyotes. - We have a dog and a cat. - We have two young children. It is important to be aware of kids on the property. The dogs must be great with children. - We have a hobby farm with farm animals. Must be gentle with Chickens and farm animals. - We are in the country, there is also an opportunity to go for a walk on the farm roads. - We can host one household at a time.
