I have a rockery that dogs love to run up and down, juniper bushes, a large covered and uncovered patio area, a kiddie pool in the hot weather, 2 water bowls (and a hose for replenishing the water/pool if needed), lots of tennis balls and toys, and a large perimeter to sniff! There is a bench, small table, and some Adirondack chairs in the backyard (and more chairs and a larger table up on the patio) for the humans... feel free to move them around as you wish! There is plenty of space to throw balls and toys; if you have mobility issues and cannot go down into the backyard, you can stay up on the patio and have your dog bring the ball back to you. Most dogs love to run up & down the rockery! Your dog(s) will be very tired and happy by the end of the Sniff! Thanks and enjoy the time with your dog(s)!!

This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note however, that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a large mystical woodland adventure for dogs in Redmond on the way to Carnation. Boots are recommended in the winter rain. MMF is preferred by puppies, dogs, people, adults and kids alike because it has potable water, power, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, lit portapotties, 3 swing sets, 3 slides, monkey bars, 3 Forts, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is flowing, a doggy playground, lots of picturesque moss, lighted parking lot, woodchip trails and many footpaths over 5 forested moss covered acres. Parking is near the road, separated by 50 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are on the trails with you. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area, after that Bob's Your Uncle! Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. A secluded place to dork out and have fun, enjoying a natural Pacific rainforest. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall and winter rains kick in. Boots are recommended in the fall and winter. Find a map of the main trails in a photo on our MMF Sniffspot site. There are lots of foot trails through the understory ferns. The log bridge can be used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to discover the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave no trace. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your toilet paper (sorry it walks away). The portapotties are cleaned once a week. A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry.

High Rock meadow is a 2+ acre securely-fenced natural meadow, surrounded by forest. Please note that this is NOT a manicured lawn space; it is a sloping meadow with uneven footing and heavy ground cover. You can explore a network of walking trails that wind through the perimeter forest, while your dogs romp in the meadow and zoom along the trails. There is no end to sniffing material in this 2-acre playground! Again, the terrain in this spot is uneven and sloping, with some steep areas on the trails and possible muddy areas. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Those with mobility issues may have difficulty moving about in this spot. Additionally, we are located in a rural neighborhood and there are times when neighbors practice shooting. This is more likely to happen on weekends, so please keep this in mind when scheduling with dogs who are distressed by loud noises. I'm currently accepting bookings up to 1 month out. To the side, there is also a gentle slope perfect for dogs who would rather take it easy. Fully fenced with 6' cedar fencing, which means your dog won't see cars, people, or other dogs passing by once you're in the yard. No neighbor dogs bordering any side of the fence, which keeps it peaceful and lessens anxiety. There is lighting under the magnolia tree and along the fences and buildings to help you enjoy your evening visit. An umbrella is provided for your use in case of rain. Private, off-street parking for up to two vehicles is provided in the driveway for your convenience. Please let us know if you need parking for more than two vehicles and we can make arrangements. Our comfy patio furniture and a table are provided for use, so feel free to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy while your dogs run around (an additional 4 camping chairs can be provided upon advance request). We provide a few toys for your use including tug toys and a ball and chuck-it, please return to the toy bucket when finished. Have your dog try out our new tree-mounted tug toy for a fun challenge! We also provide a clean bowl and a jug of water for you to pour fresh water for your pup. Poop bags are provided for your convenience. To minimize the spread of illness, please do not bring your dog to visit if it is sick.
