We are centrally located near York Hospital and York College. Easy access with off street parking. Dog towels are provided when the pool is open. Pool is closed for winter but will reopen in April 2025. Weather permitting, the large back yard is open year round. We ask that you try to keep your dogs from playing on the pool cover.

I am about 1.5 miles from route 283 so if you are traveling and need a sniff spot, I am right here! I just added a very basic wash station.

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE. NOTE: If you want to walk your pup on our nature trail please stop in at Playful Pups and speak to one of our reception team.

0.5 acre fully fenced in yard in the Hanover Borough. Relax by the fire pit under the lights or in the shade on our ample seating arrangements while your pup or pups run around the yard. Lawn is well maintained and poop is cleaned up regularly using provided poop bags for deposit. Separate gate and private back parking with alley access lends itself to a private yard that any pup would enjoy, along with private parking for the pup “paw-ents.” Water bowls are provided and can be filled using the back tap. Trees provide a sense of privacy right in the heart of the Borough. The 5 ft tall fence and yard area provides an area for running that any dog would enjoy! Treats are provided for the pups to top off the experience!

Seating, shade, and raised beds available so you and your pup can take a breather. Check the extras for pools and agility equipment! One large former horse pasture surrounded by split-rail fencing for dogs who are on leash (or reliable off-leash) to sniff, hike and play in. PLEASE NOTE: Our Spot does not have good lighting. We will be changing our hours once the time changes, but in the meantime be aware of when the sun sets before you make an evening appointment. THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT over the last few months, we've just purchased a propane fire pit we'll be adding to the spot! Next on the list: Adirondack chairs for around the fire, flooring for a new play area inside the barn (NOT AVAILABLE YET), and fencing in the large pasture. 🥰
