Fall/Winter update: the yard is DARK after 5pm. Hose is off for winterization, so please bring water. Our 1/2 acre fully fenced dog-friendly yard is here to host your special furry friends. We live a short, straight-shot drive from Chicago and are butt-up against the beautiful Salt Creek (and all the wild life that also calls the creek "home" - bunnies, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, garden snakes (harmless, but present in May), etc.). The head of Salt Creek Trail is located just a block away on Thomas Street, so feel free to explore the creek/trail after your yard time. It leads all the way to Villa Park, where you can catch the Prairie Path / Great Western Trail. You'll pass by MORE Brewing Company as well as outdoor bar and food trucks Fuel and Creme (ice cream). Make a day of it! Please note that even though the yard IS fully fenced, it is comprised of a variety of sizes shapes ranging from 6 feet privacy, raw iron, to 4 foot chain-link, barn wood with chicken wire between the wood gaps. You know your dog's "flight risk" better than anyone, so please make smart decisions when booking our yard. Dispose of poop bags in the BLUE TOP bin (green is recycle). Finally, note that we can only host 2 dogs at a time due to wear and tear on the yard. Have fun!

Fully fenced and backing up to Mount Emblem cemetery. You can hear other dogs in the neighborhood, but can not see them once in the yard. There is a large play set for children, but still enough room for zoomies. Our Greyhounds have enough room to get their energy out. We have a poop scooper and a bucket/trash can for that. We also have water bowls outside and fresh water. We have lounge chairs for you to sit in while your pup plays. You do have to walk up three stairs onto the back deck, then to the other side of the deck and down three stairs. There is a sort of double-gate system in the back yard to prevent escape artists!

Hello little ones and dog owners. I actually have a 8,241 square feet yard size. I would say that is medium size that is gated all around as you see in the pictures exactly. Lots of room for running around, digging space, explore and have fun! I do have a fire pit in the middle of the yard and a patio deck for dog owners to sit and relax. I don't have much playing toys, but I have plenty of sticks and a ball that can be bitten and thrown. Don't worry, I can buy more toys or you can supply your dog's own favorite toys. I don't have any dog's. There are neighborhood dogs in their respective homes that may bark, but don't worry they can't jump over their fence or anything from their owners homes. If you would like little humans to play with dogs just let me know, if not the space will be yours alone. You can park in front of the house or in the driveway. Farmland Property has two farm fields, Woods with trails. 10 Achres of grass and Salt Creek in back of the house/yard. (Fallen Trees down in trails from last tornado. All pets, teens and children must stay with owner at all times! Stay away from widow makers: Any tree leaned against another which, will fall at some point and could kill any living thing under it! 10 foot drop off surrounding entire property= wetland/tertuaries: Do not enter due to probable quick sand, per great Lakes fish and game wardens and assigned wetland scientist that frequent property and protect the wetlands. All NW IN wild animals share property. Brown recuse spiders: found on wood. Coyotes, deer and wild turkeys roam throughout the land. Sand cranes, geese, large Crows, Owls, and Midwest birds hang out. Eagles, and Hawks will take small dogs, cats and children. No drugs, marijuana, alcohol while, wandering property with dog on sniffspot.com. If smoking or vaping do not throw butts/litter in yard and not allowed in trails/forest areas only open grass areas. Thank you!

12.5 acres. No fence. Good for dog swimming or running free if they are off leash trained! There is a wide open space up front or if you choose to go around the back of the house there is a sand beach shallow at the beach area. And more open spots to run on this 12 acres . Ask all guests to come and leave during your time slot. I have a dog that is not friendly with others. So it’s important for the safety of everyone to come during your slot. The water has a blue dye that is safe for people and animals. It’s a dye that aids in blocking uv rays. Please be sure to check weather. If we get heavy rain it can get muddy in areas. Notice: We are closing the spot on May 23rd for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Grass and rain: Please keep in mind that during moderate to heavy rains the area without mulch can get muddy. Beginning May of 2024, we will post pictures daily to our Instagram account showing the condition of the spot. As you can imagine, due to the wear and tear the spot gets, it’s difficult to keep the grass alive. However, we do our best to reseed during the spring. BarkPark sits right across the street from The Salvation Army Freedom Center. This spot is fully fenced (chain link and wood) with the side facing the sidewalk being 5ft and the rest of the fence being 6ft. There is a dual-gate entrance to the spot for a safe entry and exit. Street parking is available. There is plenty of seating at this spot with shade throughout the day. There's a rain barrel filled with water for dogs to hydrate and cool down. We have water bowls available. GIANT sandbox that's great for digging and playing; no digging elsewhere please. On hot days, we do our best to keep the sand wet. Trash can onsite. We have poop bags available in two different areas for easy access. Half of this spot is covered with grass and the other half with playground mulch. This spot is big enough to get a good fetch session in or to just let the zoomies out. We also recently added agility equipment. We hope you and your four-legged friend/s have an exceptional time during your visit and choose to come back. Lost toys and items: Due to the amount of visits we get we aren’t able to track which items belong to which guest. If you’ve lost a dog toy or other item, please reach out and we’ll do our best to retrieve it and hold it for you. If you don’t reach out, we’ll hold onto it for a week and then add it to the Lost and Found Toy Box. Water: The dog drinking water gets changed 1-2 times per week, depending on the temperature/usage. During the winter months we empty the water barrel. If your dog/s require water during the winter months, we ask that you please bring your own. Food: You’re welcomed to bring food but we ask that you please clean up as a courtesy to other guests. Future additions: We hope to add more amenities over time. Our plans are to add more sand to the sandbox in late April or early May of 2024. We’re also hoping to have on-site parking around mid summer of 2024. If you have any suggestions for amenities, we’d love to hear your feedback.

Payton’s playground is a spot where you can spend personal time with your dog by yourself without having to worry about others intruding in on your play session. We have agility equipment, pools, ramps, weaving poles, water bowls and more available at your disposal. It’s a great environment to be in & is directly adjacent to one of the best doggy daycares in Chicago, PupStars Pet Care. This area is super spacious for training, playing, and relaxing. If your dog likes to dig, there’s a spot for that! We half roughly .5 acre of unfenced land for dogs to roam on a long lead. There’s also “trails” behind the house if you want to be adventurous! A perfect spot for shy and reactive dogs.

We LOVE sharing our space with multiple dogs from the community however, it is hard on the grass. For this reason, we have limited our evening and weekend availability to Members Only to decrease the wear and tear on the yard. With the fluctuation in weather please be aware: If outdoor parks are wet and muddy ~ areas of our yard will be also. We cannot control the effects of rain. Please always use the provided carabiner to lock the gate as pictured after you and your dog(s) enter. We have installed multiple methods of LIGHTING for evening reservations. Easy instructions for use will be sent when you make the reservation. We do have a SHADE/RAIN SHELTER! :) WATER: We provide fresh water every 24hrs located in watering cans on the bench. PARKING: One FREE private parking space located at the entrance from the alley at the back of the lot. Since some guests were having a tough time with the parking space, so we did WIDEN the entrance. We park 2 Honda CRV's back there daily without issue. Fully fenced 6 foot secure and private green space. Large open lot with seating and plenty of room to play fetch or just relax off leash. Easy street parking, no permit required. Any Extras will be located in the storage bin on the east wall of the lot. We have evening hours 6:30p to 9:30p for Members Only, 7 days per week.
