Welcome to our Doggy (& Human) Haven! We offer 34+ beautiful acres of partially fenced property. Wide Open Field/Meadow & a vast lush natural Forest with trails. Gift your dog(s) the experiences of positive enrichment- with multiple opportunities to explore, play, train & have fun! Let them climb boulders, logs, chase squirrels, play catch, find a favourite stick, run, jump, practice training exercises and sniff to their hearts desires. We have 4 main trail systems with several interconnecting mini trails offering you a new adventure every visit! Having 2 large working dogs ourselves, we know what your furry friend needs! A newly constructed, clean outhouse is now available for our guests! Updated october 17 2024 Daily 7 A.M. until 7 P.M. we offer a partially fenced 100 acre property where your dogs can run free. We have 3 official trails currently, plus 2 groomed 1 acre field play areas. At this time there are also 2 large fields that have been harvested of soy and are perfect for walking and playing. We have chairs in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field also. There is a pond in the first field right behind the deer you'll see there. I don't recommend it for humans at all and only for dogs in May, but dogs have been swimming in there all summer and seem to be liking it fine! From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Part way back there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring and this summer due to all the rain we have had. This is marked with orange pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Just past the culvert, we offer a trail around 2 plowed wheat fields going East. It's along woods and takes about 15 minutes ending on the main trail. In the second wheat field, there is a trail cam along the edge on the far East side, so be advised. I have put photos up of where all the trail cameras are until the end of December. If we capture your image, or your dogs, we will simply delete it. Just past the entrance to the wheat fields on the main trail, we have several soybean fields that have been harvested and are very flat. You can go wherever you like on these fields! Just past this field there is a deer tree stand on the West side. Currently we have a trail camera at the base of this stand so be advised. After this you will reach the base of the big hill along the main trail. You can also access the Shady Walk at the bottom of the big hill. This walk is very pretty, maybe 10 minutes in and ends in another small field area. This small field has a deer stand and does, at this time, have a trail camera in there on a tree so be advised. Note that our calendar will be blocked whenever the Spot is being used for any sort of hunting. ** In Ontario October, November and December is deer hunting season so it is advised to always wear bright colours, wherever you walk! Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field trail, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. Cooler times are before 11 a.m. and after 4 this time of year. We plan to add a trail through the woods in the late fall once the insects and ticks die off. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $6/hour and guests will be charged in USD*** On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks. Or, utilize my fenced in run, where your pups will be safe and secure, while having access to my deck, so they can run around and play!! Lastly, if your dogs have great recall, and you are able to control them, they are welcome to play and exercise within my acre of property, but it's not fenced!!

Our trail is wide, perfect to bring a friend and catch up while your dogs run. The trail is well-marked with excellent visibility to keep track of your dog(s). There is very little elevation gain on the walk, so it’s well-suited to take your dog(s) out for a run or a leisurely stroll. Deer sightings are common and you may even spot our resident owl or the bald eagles that nest nearby. Ample parking is available at the trail head and a Little Free Library is located at the end of our driveway. We are a short trip from both Belleville and Quinte West. *Price is in USD.

I have two pups of my own- a papillon and a corgi, so I know what it takes to exercise relentless little bugs. We fenced in our yard last year for them- thus creating, Bella and Charles place. It’s a place of ease, we don’t pooper scoop, there’s always toys outside, there is some seating in the warm months along with an umbrella (please close when done using). There’s a dog bowl outside as well, and the hose for fill in the warm months. We have a kiddie pool upon request in the warm months. We are also seconds away from the Millenium trail, where you can x-cntry ski, walk, four wheel etc. should you want to both play and walk your four legged friend. We do have gardens, please keep your furry friend from digging and munching (for my sake and your pups). Our fence is only 5ft high so if your dog can escape quite easily this may not be the place for them as we are a corner lot and the one road is quite busy. Our front door is fenced into the area so if we have to come or go you may see us very briefly. We have no extra parking but you can park on mill st at the church and walk over or park on the street on baker as it’s very quiet. Looking forward to hosting! It is a mix of grass and some spots where the grass doesn't grow so on wet days it can be muddy. Great view of the treeline and great spot to listen to all the birds. There is a deck with chairs that can be used and dog toys around the yard that your fur baby can play with! Our dogs do use these toys aswell but all are utd on shots and have no issues.
